I stand corrected, but I think we can all agree that was a once in a lifetime anomaly. Our progress has been insane this season, yet some still aren't happy.

As far as I'm aware, no club has ever gone from fighting relegation to a CL place the following season. Yet, here we have some of our fans talking about negligence etc etc. That's where we are folks. Imagine our owners reading some of these histrionics.

We have ambition by the truckload, but some people need to realise that this won't happen overnight for a number of reasons.

Give yourself a pat on the back. The owners have always said this will take time and be patient. We've had a season far beyond our expectations, yet there are people like you throwing your toys out of the pram because you want more, and you want it now.

Also, why doesn't the loyalty points system include ST holders getting points for every season they have attended? People who were going long before the system was introduced, just aren't accounted for IMHO.

I'm not slagging off non ST holders, I'm actually one of those who stopped going under Ashley myself, and have missed out. But I genuinely know of people who only started going since the Saudis rocked up, who got tickets in the ballot. How can someone with 70 years of attending (45 for me) actually lose out to them man?

I was in pot 6 so wasn't expected anything, but gutted for my old man who was in 4. Been going since the 50's, travelled everywhere in 60's and 70's, same season ticket in the East Stand since the 80's, went to 2 of the LC games but still lost out. Ridiculous that somebody who jumped on the bandwagon in the last year has got a ticket ahead of him.

Shit take? I didn't even mention the game, I was talking about our drop off in standards in general. The bottom line is, our squad is not good enough for the top 4 (or 6 even) and we were always going to struggle when losing some of our better players.

It's a combination of tiredness, lack of depth and players with one eye on the cup final. We're still punching massively above our weight, and our fans need to stop reacting like fickle and entitled arseholes. Just my opinion.
