  1. They'll join a long list, but it's already been promised to someone. ?
  2. Bruno or Trippier would be amazing for their contribution to the club, but as a Geordie, would love it be one of the local lads. BDB for me, his reaction would be off the scale.
  3. There's a chance I could get a ticket using my Dad's ST, as due to his age and six defeats on the spin, he's definitely not going. However, I don't really want to go without my son. If I do go on my tod, will probably drive down early Sunday to family in Epsom, train in, meet up with mates in London and stop there Sunday night. Monday off work regardless.
  4. Who can forget the genius of Sunlun's St Niall's Day, when your fans were asked to turn up in Irish colours against.....Plymouth. One of my favourite ever RTG posts, was someone describing how he furiously ripped his orange eyebrows off, when Plymouth scored their 3rd. Never change. ? https://m.independent.ie/sport/soccer/st-nialls-day-turns-sour-26415163.html
  5. I remember a bad crush there in 1987 when we played there, pretty scary as a young lad. It's a really poorly designed stand, I still can't belive they haven't done anything to it since the disaster.
  6. With regards Gordon, I remember a similar reaction when we signed a certain Craig Bellamy. Based on what I watched last season, there's definitely a player in there somewhere who is suffering at a club that is imploding and playing for a shit manager. I wouldn't pay anywhere near £50m for him mind, but definitely worth a punt for half of that.
  7. Villa supposedly after Mikel Merino......I would be all over that mind.
  8. That match thread is something else mind, today has utterly broken many of them. Imagine getting that worked up about another team man ?
  9. I ruptured my ankle ligaments in 6 a side and didn't play for about 7 months. I was 20 years older and about 4 clem heavier to be fair.
  10. Just backed off from him, terrible defending. They're excellent to watch mind.
  11. I hope Wilson isn't going all 1996 Les Ferdinand on us here.
  12. I thought he was the best player on the pitch in the Cup game up here last month FWIW, would definitely be a great addition to the squad.

I know the likes of Bruno and Trippier have grabbed the headlines in terms of impact they've made at the club, but the part this fella has played must not be underestimated. An absolute colossus, one of our best ever signings.
  14. Indeed. I'm sure I've got a kilt in my Dad's loft somewhere as well.
  15. Breaking out my old 80's tartan scarf for this one tonight.
  16. Spotted these the other day, which I've never seen before. Designed by Ove Arup, a famous Newcastle born architect.
  17. One from my Dad, and one from a mate who is in a box tomorrow. They happen to be right next to each other by a huge quirk of fate.
  18. Unexpectedly managed to get some last minute tickets for this for me and the boy. Get in, can't wait.
  19. Grew up on stories of him from my Dad and the footage from Mexico 70 is ingrained on my brain.....it seemed like football from another planet at the time. RIP Pele.
