Looks like they got £141m in debts.. half of it at 7.5% Interest to a Guggenheim Partners company Is that the Owners (Ellis Short's) company ? If so it maybe a similar situation to us, as we have a 125 million or whatever debt to our own owner, it's a bit ludicrous and a to be honest. No, it´s a global fund manager.. Not related to Short

Not really correct.. NUFC never returned the calls made by Sheikh Mansours representatives so they moved on. Later, after the MCFC takeover Ashley/Wise and some others was in Dubai to discuss a takeover by another arab buyer but there was a bit of culture clash (to put it mildly) so it came to nothing.

Exactly. I'd love to think we could have 10 years of him banging in goals for us if he's quality, but if he his he will be gone in a flash. Same goes for most clubs in the league. If Man Utd was forced to sell Ronaldo to Real Madrid... 95% likely, should score a boat load too. It's a weird one, if he moves to Porto he's almost guaranteed to score & maintain or improve his standing whereas at us if he succeeds its on a tougher stage but he might flop massively given that we're fairly toss and if he does he'll be damaged goods for a long while. But on the other hand you just have to play semi-decent in the prem to be guaranteed an income equal to all but the very best in Spain or Italy...

In the end of the day most players will look at what wages are offered and the possibility of regular football.. And I´m sure NUFC got an advantage there. As for European games, well.. Porto are guaranteed European games at a regular basis being one of the three big clubs in Portugal, not much to do about it.
