  1. £54 million is great money for Inter in the current environment. Means they should be able to hold on to Lautaro for one more season unless the release clause is met.
  2. Would be an absolutely dreadful signing, even for our current squad
  3. I'd love to know who is putting this bitch up to this as I firmly believe a few weeks ago she wouldnt have had a clue who or what Newcastle United were Her husband was murdered - grow up.
  4. Truly awful From what I recall I remember feeling his was a "plodder" did a job he was asked and you get what you pay for and signing cheap "usually" means you are buying limited players. I didnt dislike him as he did do a job but nor did I miss him leaving the club. I disagree, he was a useful outlet at times and scored some important goals (the two winners v Chelsea spring to mind). He was very inconsistent and tailed off badly towards the end which I think colours how he was thought of here. He was value for money overall.
  5. 1 Keegan(1st spell) 2 Sir Bobby 3 Rafa 4 Hughton 5 Keegan(2nd spell) 6 Roeder 7 Pardew 8 Dalglish 9 Allardyce 10 Bruce 11 Gullitt 12 Souness 13 Kinnear 14 McClaren 15 Carver I think Pardew, Dalglish, Allardyce, Gullit, Bruce and Souness are all in a group of their own and could swap round the order between themselves quite easily - all poor managers who were responsible for taking us down a level but not the absolute shitshows that were Kinnear, McClaren and Carver. Pardew just gets more stick generally because of his personality.
  6. Exactly this! One of the worst full backs I've seen at Newcastle. This forum is terrible for this sort of exaggerated bollocks
  7. He was ruined by the coaching he had here. Clearly had a lot of talent.
  8. Why not? He’s long wanted a project in England, loves the league, has learnt the language, and knows that he is still learning and a young manager, hence why he’s turned down bigger jobs like Real last year. It's completely deluded to think Nagelsmann would leave for us man
  9. yeah i made them, because he's fucking shite and swathes of our fans think he's in some way not unfit to lace rafa's loafers, they're fucking morons i think it'll all be moot anyways, season cancelled and he'll be chucked right in the bin where he deserves to be Surely the points many people are making are: - We aren't going to get relegated (I know some people disagree but we are 8 points clear with 10 or so games left, it isn't happening). - The right manager might not be available when the takeover completes, and even Rafa will be significantly cheaper in 6 months time on the basis of his contract. - Any sensible owner would sit down and take stock of everything before deciding which manager is best to take the club forward / which manager is even available at the end of the season. - The world is currently turned upside down and there'll be a huge amount of stuff to look at before even thinking about appointing a new manager. In light of the above taking time to take stock and evaluate everything while Bruce sees out the rest of the season to no great alarm makes sense.
  10. That's not correct - see above. Where's that from? Can't see anything linking them. From the security document itself posted at Companies House - you can access it on PCP's page.
  11. What’s JV1 limited? These sort of acquisitions typically have a number of companies set up at different levels of the structure by the buyer to facilitate acquisition finance going in at different levels (you'd often have loan notes being issued at one level, equity at another etc.) JV 1 was only established in Jan so that would make sense.
  12. Knew fuck all until twitter pointed out the CH changes, then it’s now direct sources. This was submitted 6 days ago, sure his direct sources would have said something then. To be fair, Companies House docs are usually reported as submitted on one date, but don't become available for public viewing until a week or so later.
  13. This is correct. She isn't depositing £150 million. The proceeds of her ongoing dispute with Barclays have been secured against this loan. She is representing and warranting that those proceeds could be worth, if she's successful, up to £150 million.
  14. nufc.com saying he won't be in the squad?
  15. This has happened a few times in Spain where a club has been caught out setting a release clause too low - I never understand why a Spanish club doesn't just adopt a policy of setting all of its release clauses at a minimum 200 million to avoid any risk.
  16. Joelinton and miggy exhausted, ASM just back from injury. Atsu on the bench having barely played this month. What does Bruce do? Starts two of them and replaces ASM with a third defensive midfielder. Against a league one team. After complaining that we don’t have the players to create enough.
  17. I really thought Manchester United would have been in for that kid. His transfer fee was a pittance considering how well he’s done in the CL this season. They were? Soljsaer even flew out to meet him to try and convince him didn't he or something? He just decided that Dortmund was better choice, which is sensible considering the toxic nature of man u right now Not true, he is owned by his agent and that is where the transfer fee goes, Dortmund have to sell him within 18 months, they receive a maximum of £20 million and the agent gets the rest, which looks about £80 million, no wonder FIFA are looking into agent fees This is absolute bollocks UEFA wouldn't have registered the transfer if there was any hint of third party ownership for a start, it's been banned for a decade
  18. I refuse to believe, but this guardian article goes into a hell of a lot of detail compared to the high level stuff that was going around following the Peter Kenyon fiasco: https://www.theguardian.com/football/2020/jan/26/saudi-340m-takeover-newcastle-leak-threatens-deal
  19. Can't risk playing Ritchie and I'd stick Atsu in for Almiron, and Lazaro in for Allan if he's available (Bruce is hopeful).
  20. Also, why is this such an unpopular fixture with our fans? Never seems to sell out.
  21. I'd almost be tempted to move Hayden to RB and bring in one of the Longstaffs rather than play Krafth there again.
  22. We can’t do that playing 3 at the back though.
