  1. Why would the NUFC legal team show their lawyers all their evidence beforehand? It is quite common for there to be a disclosure process - again if this was a court case the court would set exactly what does and does not need to be disclosed. The aim being to speed up proceedings so each party knows what they are dealing with. If you don't disclose, you can't rely on it in court. Otherwise there would be constant adjournments and delays while each party requests time to deal with whatever new evidence is introduced at short notice by the other side. Arbitration aims to mirror a court case so the same process could be followed but again, the parties, not the court set the rules in arbitration so who knows what the arbitrator is requiring.
  2. I was thinking along these lines earlier. I mean if the PL are willing to get this done then why go ahead with arbitration? I absolutely love and appreciate the leaks or itks the people post on here but it's all confidence from the club/buyers side. The crucial info would be from how the PL are seeing things. I mean if they are confident an agreement can be reached then its takeover bath time, but I haven't seen a single leak regarding the PL's stance. That being said, I'm getting excited day by day and it's looking positive, however we need to remember that it was "days not weeks" in the summer and it crashed. They have to go through arbitration before it goes to court. Just because Masters want’s it concluded soon, it doesn’t mean he wants to accept it. Even if piracy is an issue, the top 6 are still going to be an issue and we have already seen how willing to accommodate them he is. I love how matter of fact your posts are. When in reality you know nowt about anything. Ignore me, replied to the wrong post
  3. I'm buying a now tv pass for £9.99 to watch tonight. What is wrong with me

That's not really right, it is usually arbitration or court for the reasons I mention above.
  5. Typically it is arbitration OR court, not one than the other. Typically the decision of the arbitrator is final and binding on both parties - both parties sign up to the 'rules of the game' before arbitration commences. This is different to mediation, where an informal mediator is appointed to try and resolve the differences between the parties before the situation escalates. So there will be a final decision on this, one way or the other. Of course, what we don't know is exactly what the arbitration is deciding. The question might not be 'is the takeover permitted or not' but rather 'has the premier league acted properly or not'. Even if Newcastle 'win' it still doesn't necessarily mean the takeover is given a green light.
  6. Not really comparable, Motherwell's opponents had deliberately breached self-isolation guidelines.
  7. ack to Newcastle manager Steve Bruce now, as he had this to say on the current situation with injuries: "As we have seen in the Premier League, soft tissue injuries and injuries in general are a problem. "We have seen a report this week that 42% in terms of injuries in the first six games, especially with soft tissue injuries, is a big stat, so we couldn’t risk him [isaac Hayden]. But we are not alone, there are other teams who are finding it a struggle." Didn’t stop him playing Darlow, ASM and Dubravka when they were injured did it.
  8. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/54731596 John Lundstram has rejected a new deal. We should be all over that in January. An Ashley type signing if ever there was one. Can cover at CB as well.
  9. Why is Almiron not on ffs. Joelinton is offering literally nothing. Shaw has free reign down the left.
  10. The fact that Joelinton is playing right wing ahead of Almiron is disgusting.
  11. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2020/sep/29/salomon-rondon-if-i-have-a-chance-to-sign-again-for-newcastle-i-will-dalian-pro-rafa-benitez 40 million on Big Joe instead of him
  12. Maybe not the most appropriate comparison, but I still fail to see why we should be looking after their costs just because we're playing them. Would there have been any debate at all if they'd been drawn against another league 2 team? No they'd have paid it without a word and noone would have heard a thing. Yes they're playing against a team that could afford to pay it for them, but why should they? A goodwill gesture would be to pay the Morecambe players for the week of the tie....I'd bet people would complain if somehow Mike grew a heart and decided it was the right thing to do It would be the right thing to do given most league two clubs are struggling to survive in the middle of an unprecedented global pandemic? Yes we don't 'have' to but that's not really the point is it?
  13. That's got to be a miss-print though, surely?! He's not going to spend 60% of his wages on a mansion. And what the hell kind of place does £40k per month get you anyway?! Might want to sharpen up on your maths a bit there...
  14. If you read that without knowing who said it you'd swear it was Pardew.
  15. He'd walk into Juventus' team man Which of a 32 year old Higuain, a 32 year old Cuadrado or a 30 yo Douglas Costa do you think he's struggling to replace Why are you throwing out ages of 32, 32 and 30 as negatives when Aubameyang is 31 himself? Because all three of those players were awful this season and Auba is clearly still performing at a very high level. Juventus badly need a refresh of their forward line as they only have Dybala and probably one more season of Ronaldo as top class attacking options.
  16. I doubt the Championship teams who might be interested in them will be too concerned about not being able to play them in the third round of the Carabao cup
  17. He'd walk into Juventus' team man Which of a 32 year old Higuain, a 32 year old Cuadrado or a 30 yo Douglas Costa do you think he's struggling to replace
  18. I thought he had a few decent touches and was always looking to bring others into it, especially on the left. Was it Shelvey he set up? Remember thinking he should have done better with the shot. At times I think this as well, a few good touches here and there, a decent sideways pass, then I realise that I am reading too much into simple passes that any midfielder could make because I can't quite believe that a £40m player could be this shit
  19. In terms of bodies, I don't think we need anyone else. It would be good to get another striker in but we really need to shift some players across most positions now.
  20. I don't think there's much point in resting Darlow. The more games the better for him right now and it's not worth risking Gillespie who might be an absolute bombscare.
  21. Unless you’re playing him up top there is zero reason to bring on Joelinton over Almiron on the LW
  22. Get Almiron on through the middle now - they’ve taken a CM off and we could run riot on the counter attack.
