I was thinking along these lines earlier. I mean if the PL are willing to get this done then why go ahead with arbitration? I absolutely love and appreciate the leaks or itks the people post on here but it's all confidence from the club/buyers side. The crucial info would be from how the PL are seeing things. I mean if they are confident an agreement can be reached then its takeover bath time, but I haven't seen a single leak regarding the PL's stance. That being said, I'm getting excited day by day and it's looking positive, however we need to remember that it was "days not weeks" in the summer and it crashed. They have to go through arbitration before it goes to court. Just because Masters want’s it concluded soon, it doesn’t mean he wants to accept it. Even if piracy is an issue, the top 6 are still going to be an issue and we have already seen how willing to accommodate them he is. That's not really right, it is usually arbitration or court for the reasons I mention above.

Typically it is arbitration OR court, not one than the other. Typically the decision of the arbitrator is final and binding on both parties - both parties sign up to the 'rules of the game' before arbitration commences. This is different to mediation, where an informal mediator is appointed to try and resolve the differences between the parties before the situation escalates. So there will be a final decision on this, one way or the other. Of course, what we don't know is exactly what the arbitration is deciding. The question might not be 'is the takeover permitted or not' but rather 'has the premier league acted properly or not'. Even if Newcastle 'win' it still doesn't necessarily mean the takeover is given a green light.

Maybe not the most appropriate comparison, but I still fail to see why we should be looking after their costs just because we're playing them. Would there have been any debate at all if they'd been drawn against another league 2 team? No they'd have paid it without a word and noone would have heard a thing. Yes they're playing against a team that could afford to pay it for them, but why should they? A goodwill gesture would be to pay the Morecambe players for the week of the tie....I'd bet people would complain if somehow Mike grew a heart and decided it was the right thing to do It would be the right thing to do given most league two clubs are struggling to survive in the middle of an unprecedented global pandemic? Because all three of those players were awful this season and Auba is clearly still performing at a very high level. Juventus badly need a refresh of their forward line as they only have Dybala and probably one more season of Ronaldo as top class attacking options.

I thought he had a few decent touches and was always looking to bring others into it, especially on the left. Was it Shelvey he set up? Remember thinking he should have done better with the shot. At times I think this as well, a few good touches here and there, a decent sideways pass, then I realise that I am reading too much into simple passes that any midfielder could make because I can't quite believe that a £40m player could be this shit

In terms of bodies, I don't think we need anyone else. It would be good to get another striker in but we really need to shift some players across most positions now.

I don't think there's much point in resting Darlow. The more games the better for him right now and it's not worth risking Gillespie who might be an absolute bombscare.

Hendrick has offered nothing going forward on the right. He’s been solid enough but one of Fraser or Almiron would give them more problems to worry about on the left as well As the right.
