  1. I wouldn't worry mate, global thermonuclear war is coming soon, so i wouldn't fret too much.
  2. Fair enough mate. I hate saying this as it makes me want to puke, but personally I think Ashworth left because he was wanted by one of the so called biggest clubs in the world. And as much of a mess Man Utd are, the pull is still there for some. Ashworth leaving may have had a bit more to it. You are right mind, the DOF or whatever they want to call it, does need defining and sorting out once and for all.
  3. Personally i couldn't care less why he left, as long as it wasn't because the club was on fire like it was during Ashley ownership. And, if you would be so kind to me point in direction to where it's been said it was because of Eddie, that is not something i recall at all. Or ever remember being said, written or even mentioned until i read your post. Frankly i think it's nonsense, but I’m quite happy to proven wrong.
  4. Ashworth didn't leave because of Eddie did he ? He was chased and wanted by Man Utd, to link Ashworth leaving to Eddie is disingenuous a tad, don't you think ?
  5. Watching Germany U19's v England U19's It was 5-1 to Germany ten minutes ago, now it's 5-5

    João Pedro

It's why I would/will be ecstatic to be wrong

Really good player, but why do i get the feeling he'll be a two/three season of being really good, then kicks off because we wants to move on. Hope I’m wrong on that, but he certainly doesn't give me Bruno, Big Joe vibes.
  8. Nah, Hockey player like. Downside is she's a mad Liverpool supporting scouser.
  9. No idea why I’m watching Soccer Aid, but i must say Sam Quek who just been subbed on, is one very nice looking young lady.
  10. It's tactical isn't it, whoever Eddie puts in there they have to be covering the ground. Then it's down to buying the right players who can do that, but also have the quality to just than more someone who covers ground, as i think we've clearly done. Tonali and Bruno (and Big Joe) are perfect for what Eddie wants.

    England

Eze, good foot in there. Still a bit baffled he's not been mentioned for us, or anyone else for that matter. He's mint.
  12. Now it's seeded, i think the League Cup is harder to win than the FA Cup. The Europa League was piss easy compared to what we faced in the League Cup, and possibly what Palace faced in the later FA Cup rounds.
  13. Is fucktards the collective term for us lot ? Some of us have lost their fucking minds with some of these takes
  14. No, stop seeing things that aren't there you mentalist
  15. If at 8pm before the Europa Cup final you thought he needed to go, which seemed to be where a lot of Spud fans were if they lost. One game of football, one of the worst matches i've ever seen. To be dominated by a Man Utd side who are dreadful, and win with an own goal. If i remember correctly what i saw the other day, making 1 pass every 52 seconds or something very close to that. If that dreadful game convinced you to suddenly say, now he should say......i think you would be mental. And that stat from the press release by the club, 78 points in 66 games. That's dreadful league form for a long period of time.
  16. And he's much quicker, suits those breaks we like to make.
  17. Guys, it's not we see now, it's what Howe can turn him into, surely we've all learnt that by now.
  18. True, but we aren't Elite yet are we ? The bullshit PSR rules mean it's a slow drawn out process. I look at where we are now, and i don't doubt that process any more, i embrace it. It's glorious to what i've seen most of my over 50 years supporting us.
  19. I think we need to factor Sean's feelings into account. It's not as simple as we need to keep him, because of homegrown, trained at club etc. He's not going to playing enough for a guy his age and experience, he might reluctantly want to leave so he can play.
  20. I doubt we were even in for him. We'll be linked with a million players, and the headlines will be 'Toon shock as they miss out on top target' total bollocks in the first place.
  21. Yes, but Nick Pope is still a very good GK. Unless we're signing someone a lot better, there's simply no need. Unless wrre
  22. Not sure we need upgrade on Nick Pope this window, he's still a decent GK.
  23. And he played under Maresca in the Elite Development Squad youth team at Man City, double pull if he liked playing for him.
