  1. I assume they would have insurance, they do when a team travel together. Not sure about a single player travelling alone on a seemingly private plane. Players are a commodity, i would think they're insured all the time.

Aren't they struggling with FFP? In terms of creating resources to bring new players in? Haven't heard that, if that's the case then surely they'd be wanting to sell? Yeah, maybe. Although £4m is a canny loan fee, for half a season, if he's not in the team at present and they're after some quick cash, without actually getting rid of him. I really can't see us forking out £4m for a loan fee for 15/16 games max. I can if it means he gets Benitez to sign on again and keep him up on a shoestring Benitez won't sign on no matter what is delivered, he's just using his position to get some players in. I think the same, the only way i see him staying is if they do buy Almiron for £20m+. That might just about fool him enough to sign an extension for another years or two.

    Rafa Benítez

TransferMarket says we lost £3m on him. Did his job to help get us promoted, so i reckon we made far more than we lost. Not that the morons running the club will see it that way.
  5. I find that very difficult to Velieve.
  6. How can the lino not give it, the best view in the stadium and he bottles it, absolute joke.

    Rafa Benítez

Bait laid, bait taken. Just don't take the bait.
  8. Sales in this country (UK) have been terrible, only 50,000 subscriptions i think i read.
  9. Up against men in a very competitive league in a team that aren't free scoring, i reckon that's a perfect test of his current level or getting a gauge of it, certainly don't want it to be easy.
  10. I was going to ask why it was on at a mad time, because of Ultras ffs.
  11. That’s exactly the point. I, along with thousands others, are happy to get at him in every way we can other than stopping going. Why should we allow one man to stop us doing our hobby. Surely he wins. Maybe not financially, but his agenda wins if he makes it unbearable for us to be there. As long as Rafa is there or there’s something worth supporting I will be there. Happy to boycott a single match, sure, but not give it up. Surely you can see that you've just invented that bit in bold to vindicate yourself? It makes no sense, why would his agenda be to make it unbearable for you to keep going? His agenda is to make money and you're giving him money, it's really no more complicated than that. Yeah, I agree in hindsight my point there doesn't make much sense. What I was trying to get across was that giving into my hatred of Ashley and stopping going to the games affects my enjoyment, my kid's enjoyment etc. That feels to me as he has won in some way because his presence has made me stop doing something I love. While i think you shouldn't go, the sentence highlighted is surely something everyone can understand, or at least get their head around a bit.
  12. What's with the stick on saying you want to bond with your kid at football, no one is saying there aren't other things to do. I've done loads of other things with mine when they were nippers but there's nothing like going to football with your little un. The problem a parent has know is kids grow up so quick, do you make them miss something so special now because of Ashley ? A thing you'll never be able to do if Ashley stays for a few more years.
  13. I'd say it's impossible, don't go to games and get at Sports Direct and any company that deals with the them is the way to go imo. I'm also hoping the way the sale, spending and bullshit Ashley/Ferdinand/Keys have come out with lately seems to have been picked up more mainstream coverage, hopefully that continues.
  14. Cancelling a sky subscription is in no way equivalent to not going to a game. Ashley has 52,000 'subscribers' a fortnight. Sky has 22.9 million subscribers a year. The vast majority of which have nothing to do with NUFC. It's a pointless comparison. It's about money is it not ? The point being that if 10,000 Newcastle fans stop going to a game - the empty seats, the financial impact are directly felt by Mike Ashley. Visually, if nothing else, the impact is felt. If 10,000 NUFC fans stop subscribing to Sky it will barely affect their own bottom line. Once that is diluted through the amounts distributed to football, the amounts distributed to the premier league and amounts eventually reaching the club and Mike Ashley, the effect is non-existent. That's it bang on, the symbolism of it makes the impact and i agree that is the correct thing to do. My point is gates don't really fund the club in the way TV money does, i'm in the camp of not going but i'm also not overtly critical of those who do.

  16. Just curious but how many people who have chosen not to go to games (quite rightly) have Sky Sports, BT Sport and Amazon Prime (next season) ? I have Sky and Amazon Prime, i have for far more reasons to have Sky and Amazon Prime than i do to watch football, i could cancel Sky Sports but i watch far more other games than those that involve us. Do i get rid of Sky Sports so then my kids can't watch F1 or Mrs B when she wants to watch fecking netball. Do i get get rid if Sky Sports so i can't watch NFL, Golf or whatever other sport i like to view. I buy loads of stuff on Amazon Prime, watch TV shows and films, so next season do i get rid of that ? Are we all not hypocrites if we don't stop having Sky Sports, BT Sport and Amazon Prime (from next season) ? Those companies fund Ashley and the club far more than a fans tickets do. Bit of a tricky issue if you really want to starve Ashley of money.
