That is an understatement, it's an absolute bugger.

Isn't it just like the offside, really. Everyone goes into great debate about how complex and confusing the rule is when in fact it isn't at all and merely backed by common sense. Problem with common sense is that it's not that common. Yep, you can teach a ref all the rules but you can't teach individuals common sense.

I play with a lad who played with Iorfa when they were young. He's not very complimentary about him, says he's just fast, that's it. I think there's a bit of envy in there to be honest. I did point out Iorfa now plays right back, as the lad i play with said Iorfa was a forward when he played with him, just shrugged and said he's still shit.

The first time in history those 8 words have been strung together.

I think they are saying the linesman flagged. Play to the whistle and all that but if the flag goes up, and it would've been wrongly if it did go up, people stop. He was immediately in on goal. Who exactly are they claiming stopped playing that could have affected matters? Players see a flag go up and claim. I;ll have to rewind aswell to see if the other player was offside (though obviously not interfering with play). You play to the whistle not the flag, you are taught that from a very early age. You keep playing unless the merry whistle blower blows. I know. I said that. But had that happened at against us, assuming the linesman did actually flag, players and fans in the ground would have felt aggreived. And it would be tough luck, as harsh as it is. Not even luck, thems the rules. Inside the ground though without the tele view it's different and no doubt on LFC boards they are going on about the other player in the box. (think he was in an offside position when their player played the ball. can't rewind it as I turned over to Accrington-Wimbledon) He was onside during the first phase fwiw

Probably win it again next year. bet you they wont. highly unlikely they'll be in it. They will be if they get knocked out of the group stages of the Champions League, well if they finish 3rd in their group.

To be fair that was brilliant.

Depth, i know it's rather an alien concept to us over the last few years, but hey Rafa is here.

Also in that article... 'Without Luis Suarez's 40 goals Barcelona would probably have won nothing' He's a f***ing genius that Martin Samuel Not a wild statement... they would've won Copa Del Rey without him but La Liga? Nah. But the assumption is that his replacement would have scored zero goals and had zero influence on all the results. When in reality Barcelona would have had another very good player instead. Ok maybe not as good, but still top class.

That Stoke player has gloves on, how fucking cold was it in the potteries

Yeah, I thought that, hope it's nothing trivial.

Aye, they must have had one eye on the final since Christmas. And with Man Utd playing this Tuesday, Palace should piss it by Pardew's previous musings about midweek games.

Fuck off jug ears. Palace have one eye on the cup final, excuses for Pardew from MOTD.
