  1. "Faac! I play for Bologna!" I like that, nice shirt.
  2. West Ham fans are total knackers, aggressive budweiser bottle/pint of Fosters drinking louts with no reedeming features whatsoever, and that's just the girlfriends.
  3. That's the very reason we've had countless trouble since Ashley bought us. The most important person at any club should always be the manager.
  4. Not if Arsenal lose to Man City today and Man Utd don't win both their games. Just Man City winning should be enough for Spurs to finish 2nd. True, I wasnt aware Spurs' GD was so much better. That said if Man City win today they'll be within range of Spurs' GD with a good win in their last game Yeah it's about 8 difference now, although it would need us to beat Tottenham by at least 2 or 3....that's why i'm fairly confident Spurs will be 2nd if Arsenal lose today Man City 2-0 Arsenal Newcastle 1-0 Tottenham Swansea 0-5 Man City Oh yeah, that's very possible. Although i fear if we're already down we'll roll over and get beat 2 or 3.

  6. Long would be perfect for Rafa's loan mobile striker role, works hard, runs the channels, pacey and an eye for goal.
  7. Everton look like a team who aren't playing for their manager, they just look done.

  9. Absolutely right, actually think Mitro might be ok with the Championship playing for Serbia. Although there are no International finals at the end of next season, that might sway a few to give it a season to get back up, unlikely i know but it might help with Mitro and Townsend especially.
  10. Another Pardew masterstroke, his choice.
  11. True but he's not Rafa's type of lone striker, well that's if Rafa stays of course. Rafa is rather rigid with his 4-2-3-1 with a mobile striker up top.
  12. Was there not a quote from his pre-match conferency basically shurgging off any thought of him planning ahead with transfers etc? Don't know mate i don't recall that but you would think transfers would be put off until we knew which league we'd be in, his next press conference might clear it up especially if Sunderland do beat Everton. As i read that from the article, i think it means current players/coaches about who will stay if we go down.
  13. Of all the players i think are staying he is the one that might go, along with maybe Mitro back to Anderlecht on loan imo. i wonder if this will be a strategy for the club now you've mentioned it actually, loan a few out who they want to retain in the hope we get back up in a year Could be, it's a sensible thing to do if you think the players you're loaning are still good enough. That's the debate though, Mitro and Wini especially, are they good enough in the long run. What? Wijnaldum is a coward and need to leave. Currently the Championship is Mitro's level. No idea what his level is in the long run. Read again, if, if you think the players good enough, and by that if i mean whatever the manager thinks. I personally think Wini should go, Mitro not so much, although the club might loan him back to Anderlecht if he himself doesn't want to drop a league. Which would basicially be the same thing going back to Belgium but it would mean Champions League football for him personally. They are just suggestion to what might happen, not what will.

  16. I don't think Rafa is the type like McClaren to just sit there and wait, he'll be on to them to find out what is happening, taking the lead in it. I think we'll find out very quickly if he's staying or going, because if he hears want he doesn't like it, well bye Rafa.
  17. Defence is already sorted imo. Anita (RB) Mbemba and Lascelles (CB's) and Dummett (LB). With Haïdara and Mbabu covering with a couple of players to bring in. Gk can't be any of the three, they're all good enough for the Championship, plus Woodman. Midfield depends on who goes, i actually think Townsend will stay so it'll be, Townsend, Colback, Saviet, Aarons and Shelvey staying, so this area needs complete rebuilding. Strikers, i think De Jong might stay actually, so De Jong, Armstrong, Mitro and Perez. Add a goalscorer to them, that's ok imo. If and buts and not going to happen, but it's how i'd go.
  18. Still think there's a good player somewhere in there, he won't suit Rafa's tactics of a mobile lone striker though.
  19. You would hope if he left that the base he puts down would continue on say like Swansea has. Different managers but the Philosophy from the board, good football, sensible buys etc. Admittedly we'd need a board with a brain but if Rafa is allowed to do what he thinks is right, they'll see the light, surely ?
  20. People are connecting the slow start and not going for Villa from the off as his instructions, and not because the players stood off because of nerves. Guess if it's the former the fault would be a little down to Rafa, if it's the latter, then despite the slow nervous start we still should have won. Tbh if he did get it wrong (and I'm not sure he did, as you say it could've been down to the players' nerves) then the stick he's getting for it is a bit much. We would've been down weeks ago without him, no manager gets it right 100% of the time. Bang on and it's Charnley's fault for waiting too long to appoint Rafa. As many have said, straight after the Chelsea game was the ideal time.
