Had some serious doubts when he made York City's frontline look like Barcas in pre season, friendly or not, but he's starting to really impress now.

Didn't agree with the decision to drop him but it worked 100%. We looked far weaker defensively as soon as Tiote went off.

Only gripe with him is his greed at times but hes impressed since joining.

He was still s***, was completely skinned at one point, fortunate not to lead to a goal. Whatever division we play in next year an upgrade for LB is sorely needed. Some people are never happy. One mistake apart, he was solid and far better than anyone else whos played there lately.

Remind me what Colback offers? He's as awful defensively as Shelvey and doesn't offer any creativity, which when he's interested, as he would be today, Shelvey does. He really isn't as bad defensively. Not even near. He doesn't run like a maniac up the field and leave a massive space in midfield about 15 times a game for a start He also doesn't win a tackle, like Shelvey doesn't. If anything, Colback gives away more free kicks in dangerous positions. Here's hoping im proved wrong but I think its a major mistake.

Hope im proved wrong but that team looks awful. Dont have much hope in them getting us the result we need. Not having a go too much as hes still getting to know the players and its ultimately the players job to perform but its not worked the last 2 weeks and that lineup doesnt inspire confidence.

Completely agree with this. Usually i'd push for Tiote to play as he can be a good DM when he wants to be but I think the fact that he hasn't been able to get a new contract/transfer worth far more ££ p/w is now dictating how he performs.

The very thought of Steven Taylor ever playing for us again knocks me sick. Luckily, I think he may finally be done here.

If you're a Newcastle fan it just roughly equates to 'we're going to lose' anyway. Exactly. You would think that these players would be aware of their own cup record over the last few years so not to bother with using that reference as they'll immediatley get called out on it.
