  1. It’s just not coming together yet, not too far away though.
  2. Switch out Bruno at half time, put Willock in central and Maxi out wide
  3. Everything I feared really. Completely and utter disaster.
  4. We just don’t look cohesive at all, losing Longstaff has upended our rhythm.
  5. Never feel like we’re a threat from any type of set-piece.
  6. Not downplaying how decisive Brighton have been so far, but they’re going to lose Mac Alister very early on in the window and probably Caicedo later on. Not surprising they’d secure some targets now.
  7. The problem with Ashley is that either: 1. we targeted players who were poor-quality or at an age where you wouldn’t expect a great return in a future sale 2. putting them in an awful coaching set-up where they wouldn’t develop sufficiently. Cant really remember us signing many players on a free mind.
  8. I think signing players on a free to then sell-on in the future for a good profit will form part of Ashworth’s thinking too. Would expect a couple of frees to come in this summer.
  9. I think City are going to have come to an agreement on wages with any club that wants Cancelo ultimately. I can’t think of a club that could afford those wages outright and / or need him. Spurs maybe, at a guess.
  10. I can see Cancelo back at Benfica this summer when Grimaldo leaves on a free.
  11. Still surreal to see us already well-established in rivalling elite clubs for top talents.
  12. I’d rather Kulusevski than someone like Barnes personally. Strange though, I thought Spurs had already exercised an obligation to buy clause.
  13. If he signs, we should send him to Hearts on loan.
  14. What a horrific delivery for that last corner
  15. With Brighton still to play Arsenal and Man City, that is hopefully at least top 6 secured now.
  16. Pickford is not a full shilling like
  17. Brighton will lose against Arsenal on the weekend you’d expect as well.
  18. Absolutely horrific stuff from Milwall, they had such an easy run of fixtures and they still couldn’t get the job done. Sunderland will go up unfortunately.
  19. I was disappointed with our lack of control, particularly from our senior pros in response to Arsenal’s game-management tactics. I’m not sure if the disallowed penalty decision caused us to fly off the handle a bit, but the midfield looked very ragged getting to grips with the flow of the game. We were steaming into challenges on a few occasions, letting Arsenal get a needed foul and relieve pressure. It’s not a surprise that players like Joelinton or Schar get involved in bust-ups, yet the team as a whole seemed whipped up in a frenzy throughout the whole game. When even leaders like Trippier were intent on remonstrating with Arsenal players for minutes on end, I could see there was an issue.
