I’ll be very happy with Tierney, quality player and addresses a key area.

That would be incredibly disappointing. -

I think I’d rather undervalue him and let him go abroad, than see him play for another Premier League team. -

Would be very disappointed if we sold him to be honest. He has a unique skillset that isn’t found anywhere else in the team. We need players like him to unlock more ‘stubborn’ sides. -
Even if McTominay is brought in and even if the fee is inflated, he could still nevertheless become a really good signing for us. Really just depends on his performances. We could bring in a player like Kone or Thuram for less money and they might be crap. That’s football, no point getting worked up unless it’s actually going wrong.

They’re selling Nkunku to Chelsea for £60m.

Lavia has always looked very raw to me. Not surprising with his age, but I’m not as convinced as some on here.
-
The Phillips link doesn’t make too much sense to me from a Nickson / Ashworth recruitment standpoint. High wages + high fee too. Based on nothing but my own opinion, think he’d also absolutely flop here.
-
Must have a canny wage budget Villa mind.
-
Liverpool seem to be very proactive this window. According to Romano, they’re holding talks with Thuram, Kone and Veiga too.
-
Chelsea are insane.

Don’t see any of those home-grown players (apart from Mount) fetching ‘significant’ sums.
-
Aubameyang, Ziyech, Kovacic, Hudson-Odoi.
-
Mount to Man United and McTominay to us both done within next fortnight is my prediction.

Without being reductive, whenever I watch Man United play, it’s so obvious they lack that quality centre-forward and focal point. I think if they can add that quality, someone like Kane. The rest of the team would go up a level. You will see greater goal-contributions from every Man United attacker. The problem with Spurs is that they’ve often been weighed-down by just absolutely awful recruitment in key areas of the team. It doesn’t matter if Kane scores 30 goals if your back-four has Emerson, Dier and Sessegnon, because you’ll concede pretty much every game. Man United under Ten Hag seem way more solid to me, they have genuine world-class talent in fundamental positions and will strengthen further, (in addition to a signing like Kane). Caveating this post with I definitely make Man City favourites again regardless!

It’s not no, a lot will also depend on the stability of the management and coaching team. Have to remember that when Januzaj first emerged it was in the immediate post-Fergie era, which was chaotic to say the least.

Maybe. But Froggy doesn’t just comment exclusively on football topics on the forum from what I’ve seen. He’s also active in the general chat and gaming sections, part of the community here and always comes across well to me like. It’s his business anyway, if he likes to post here, that should be enough.

I think with Kane’s goal contributions, they’d be thereabouts. City would still need to drop off a little though.
-
I’d be surprised, obviously needs to steer clear of major injuries etc, which is down mainly to luck. But from what I’ve seen, he does have exciting technical attributes.
-
He’s just going to get better and better. Especially if a centre forward profile of someone like Kane joins.
-
Froggy is a canny poster man.

Impressed by Garnacho, very inventive and direct on the ball. Man United played well but I wonder if they were helped by City’s lack of conditioning at the end of the second half. Been such a long season and I think you could see that impact on the players. Kane would make Man United title-challengers.

Catching up on the game and the Casemiro incident is absolutely staggering to be honest. Awful challenge.
-
Man United’s bench is absolutely terrible.

Chris Wood (now playing for Nottingham Forest)

General assessment of the business they done in January - Shelvey, Wood, Ayew etc. Plus they didn’t exactly have a good record with signings already made in the summer.
