  1. Aye, fairs. Just found it odd how a mate of mine went up before me at 16:45ish yet he missed kick off. I got to my seat mid way through Local Hero.
  2. I wouldn't be surprised. Queue was down Terrace Place. People standing in what they think is a queue but they're actually cutting into it which annoyed people; wouldn't be surprised if it kicks off if that keeps happening. Scanning the tickets to actually get in took no time at all, stewards were telling people what to do, where to scan et cetera so I've no idea why the queue was so bad.
  3. My favourite player at the club. He's unreal. From his ability, footballing IQ, work rate and personality; everything about him I love.
  4. Getting into the ground was a bit of a nightmare yesterday. Got to the ground between 16:50 and 17:00 and I've never seen a queue like it. Got into the ground midway through Local Hero. Do not know a single upside of digital tickets.
  5. Hungover to fuck again. Ahhh it's good to be back. Tonali or Isak MOTM for me. We are very good at playing association football. Didn't want to jinx it by mentioning beforehand but the last time Aston Villa won at St James' Park I hadn't even started primary school. Always nice to see that run continue.
  6. Slept on it. Bad idea. Be having 7 instead.
  7. The whole team was tbf, especially 2nd half. But that was against a Villa side with a caretaker in charge. If they play with a high line I think Isak would be the better fit given his pace compared with Wilson's. Plus he's our future through the middle. Love Callum but Isak should be starting most of our games in the striker spot. Thought it'd be Gordon tbh. Especially if he doesn't hit the ground running this season.
  8. They're really pushing fans to get in early, even got the players to record a message saying so. Guess they're anticipating this going absolutely tits up. I'll be 8 pints deep and getting to the ground any time between 17:05-17:20 like in any normal previous season for a 17:30 kick off.
  9. In open play games like Leeds away, Palace away, Bournemouth home and away I agree. But other games such as Chelsea away, Leicester at home, Leeds at home, Palace at home, West Ham at home; it was down to finishing and missing numerous chances (refereeing as well tut tut). I think it's an issue but it's less of an issue than I probably first thought.
  10. Given the way it was built up in that episode thinking back to that Southampton semi final, don't remember being worried/nervous at all personally tbh. We were 1-0 up on aggregate going into a 2nd leg at home against the team that was bottom of the league. If we were in any danger of ever losing that especially after going 2 nowt up on the night it would've been a bit of a disgrace tbh. Also remember being more gutted about Bruno getting sent off than elated about getting to the final. Suppose I'm just a miserable cunt.
  11. Wasn't explicitly stated tonight but Spurs being the club that didn't shake NUFC's directors' hands and have sent the most messages lobbying against the takeover et al was more or less confirmed or reiterated as well. That Kane's fucking off today as well after hearing that is just *chef's kiss*.
  12. The point about everyone in the league and media underestimating us again I agreed with and the Bruce-Keith Downie anecdote which was funny aside, it was pretty much all opinions and stuff we already knew.
  13. Very much. Glad to be hyem.
  14. There was fuck all in regards to transfers from tonight besides what Downie "thinks might" happen; could spend £35m-£40m on a LB, could also look for a loan with an obligation to buy in that position. Then it turned into how great a bloke they all thought Dan Burn was. Glad I didn't pay myself for it, put it that way.
