  1. Shame. Thought he'd have got minutes here given he's on the bench.
  2. What happened to Smith Rowe? Seems to never get minutes anymore?
  3. Burn, Joelinton and Willock all worked together on the left to shut Saka down after we tried pressing them in the first 20 minutes but they kept getting past us. Howe changed it, I'm fine when Joelinton's on the left of the front 3 for a more defensive job like that was.
  4. West Ham getting well and truly put to the sword, here.
  5. Been to 2 aways this season, 1-4 and 1-2 wins at Fulham and Forest so fingers crossed. Looking forward to the bewws for Gordon as much as the day itself.
  6. I agree but I actually don't mind it this time around, I'm going with my brother and will be on the piss in Liverpool with my Everton mate from my undergrad uni from the early afternoon. But aye, Ben Arfa game was the last time we played there on a Saturday. 2010-11: Saturday 3pm 2011-12: Sunday, last day of the season 2012-13: Monday night 2013-14: Monday night 2014-15: Sunday due to them being in the EL 2015-16: Tuesday night 2017-18: Monday night, was moved by Sky like 2 weeks before the game well after we sold out the allocation 2018-19: Tuesday night 2019-20: Tuesday night 2020-21: COVIDball, was Saturday 12:30pm for posterity 2021-22: Thursday night 2022-23: Thursday night And at SJP for the sake of it. 2010-11: Saturday 3pm 2011-12: Saturday 12:30pm 2012-13: Wednesday night 2013-14: Wednesday night 2014-15: Sunday 4:15pm 2015-16: Boxing Day 2017-18: Wednesday night 2018-19: Saturday 3pm 2019-20: Saturday 3pm 2020-21: COVIDball but Sunday 2pm 2021-22: Tuesday night 2022-23: Wednesday night I think it's because the PL pairs clubs that are close geographically on the fixture list for midweeks and Boxing Day, hence why our record on Boxing Day is fairly lifting as we've often got the Manchester clubs or the Liverpool clubs. Same with midweeks, but the last time we played Everton at Goodison Park in the daytime with fans allowed in the ground John Carver was in charge, our attacking 4 was Obertan, Sammy Ameobi, Gouffran and Riviere and I was 14 ffs.
  7. Haven't played them there on a Saturday for almost 13 years. Had 2 Sundays since then though, the last of which was in early 2015. All others have been midweek or Monday nights.
  8. If you don't think he's a predictable attacker then fairs. FWIW, I'd probably bring him back in next week assuming ASM isn't fit which he probably won't be, given Gordon's performance today.
  9. 1 moment in his purple patch 5 months ago. It's no coincidence that we went on a run of 5 wins and started scoring more goals as soon as he was out of the team.
  10. The fans hate the players and Levy, the players hate the fans, and their former manager hated everything about the club. Hilarious stuff.
  11. Cunty crying laughing into his wig somewhere in the Apulian sun.
  12. Spurs with 5 attackers on Bruce-esque
  13. Same. Awful result for Everton, that.
  14. I think he'll improve and he is unlucky not to have 2 assists against West Ham and Liverpool at home. Also don't blame him for today any more than any else in the side as they were all as shit as each other. But I didn't understand why we spent £40m on him and still don't.
  15. Was arguably MOTM when moved back into midfield from the front 3 in the second half at Brentford. He was poor today but so were the other 10 players of ours. Almirón is far too easy to defend against especially against a team that sits off like Spurs probably will do though I may bring him back in for Gordon. I'd stick with Murphy on the other side assuming ASM is out though.
  16. Even as an option off the bench he'd be incredibly useful. Almirón is predictable and Joelinton is best utilised in the midfield 3 instead of the front 3, we've looked disjointed or blunt in attack when he's in the front 3 not that it's directly his fault.
  17. As daft as it sounds as he's the top scorer, Almirón and Joelinton for that matter as the wide men in the attacking 3 just looks blunt af. Praying that ASM is okay for this personally.
  18. Besides the fact that his changes and tweaking of the formation away at Brentford won us the game. Aye, not flexible imo.
  19. Don't think it's a case of fitness. He was just as shite as the other 10 on the pitch.
  20. Howe and this squad deserve more than the benefit of the doubt for today but that was vile. Outplayed in every single department.
