    Overrated players

Declan Rice - Already been mentioned before. Good, solid midfielder but plenty just like him in Europe. Jack Wilshere - Honestly had no idea what he was good at yet and almost always injured but inexplicably made every England squad under Hodgson.
  2. No chance we'd get Son. Paqueta I'd definitely take though I know little about him as a player. Raphinha I'd love here but he'll probably have better options than us. Bissouma I'd take but he could still be a sex offender iirc. Kamara is available on a free this summer and hasn't been arrested for sexual assault. I don't think we'll go back in for Carlos in the summer due to his age and the price. Would still take though. Oblak? Dunno we could get him. I think a GK is something we'll look at medium term ie next summer.
  3. Either way we're safe and he should barely feature next season, so who gives a flying fuck
  4. We bought Wood because we desperately needed a body in for what was a crucial match against Watford on the 15th January, and could get a fit and ready body with a record of goalscoring in the PL. He was never going to be the long term answer that we would have up front. He's been very poor, probably past his mediocre best but has scored an equaliser in a game that we went on to win and a winner in a 1-0 win. 6 points that he's contributed to directly. Take 6 points off us and we're 3 from 18th. Worth it given the future. He'll hopefully barely feature next season, if he does then something will have gone catastrophically wrong in the summer.
  5. to both. Kamara would be the perfect number 6 to allow Bruno more of the ball, especially against the big sides. He was starved of possession today and v Liverpool because of it.
  6. Also hate the 'where were you when you were shit' chant every bloody time we go down there. The Etihad is woeful but Maine Road was always full. When they were shit.
  7. We won't be able to shift everyone we want, nor will we be able to get all the players in the positions that we want in the summer. I think we'll be looking at and need to look at getting a striker, number 6, winger, CB and Targett. Then next summer another CB, another striker, another winger and a goalkeeper.
  8. Dummett has. Longstaff is out of contract in the summer. There was talk that we were looking to renew it but fucking hell do I hope we don't.
  9. My guess is Lascelles, Hayden, Clark, Hendrick, Fernandez, Gayle, Ritchie and hopefully Longstaff. Basically most of the dregs of the 2016/17 Championship season that should've been moved on 4 years ago.
  10. Trippier, Schar, new CB and either a new LB or Targett. Not fussed which. I like Dan Burn but he often gets a rush of blood and storms out of position towards the ball and that exposes us more often than not; happened a couple times today, at Spurs and at Everton. He also can be a bit rash, got very angry in the second half at Rodri(?) for a reason I don't know.
  11. Yep. Have been shit against the top 6 since 2017-18. That season we drew with Liverpool, stuffed Chelsea, beat Arsenal, beat Man Utd. Since then we've had 4 wins, Man City in 2018-19 and Chelsea, Spurs and Man Utd in 2019-20.

  13. Saw this damning stat. We haven’t won in the last 27 league games against the traditional top 6. 0 wins, 5 draws, 22 losses. Aggregate of 72-17.
  14. I have a theory that he wants to stick with the back 4 moving forward into the future so he is seeing who can and can't play in the 4 against the big sides. Think he'll be getting clearer pictures of a few, which can only be a good thing.
  15. Unsure why he's ditched the back 5 that worked brilliantly at Chelsea in the last 3 games against top 6 opposition. 11 goals conceded, 1 scored with a back 4.
  16. Switched it off as soon as the break came as I knew it'd be an unsufferable Man City wankfest with added bants from Richards & co.
  17. Sick of just being battered tbh. This season alone we've lost 0-3, 0-4, 5-0, 5-1, 4-1, 4-0. Sick of it.
  18. I don't believe that ASM is putting in no effort. He is what he is; a winger with loads of pace and a lot of flair who wants to take people on and at the most of times will frustrate the hell out of you. He won't often track back, it isn't his game. He'll improve once we improve the players around him; us going forward after Trippier and Wilson came on today improved him, Bruno et al. I'd wait to see next season what he's like as he needs a huge reset. Certainly wouldn't sell him and don't think that he isn't very good. He's carried this club for 3 years.
  19. Once our fans have got a picture painted a la ASM for a few now, there's no way back. Can't wait until he starts to get jeered at during games, that's the next phase.
  20. They're all different players in their own way but ASM's goal involvement per 90 is very similar to Robert's. Robert also took set pieces and was crossing the ball to Alan Shearer. ASM has been to Chris Wood.
  21. I mean, what was the point in that? Horrid cunt.
  22. Wood should score at 0-0 and Dubravka should've held onto the shot for their 2nd. Haven't done too badly. Most of the ball we've had in this fixture that I can remember. But you can do not too badly and lose 4-0, 5-0.
