  1. 2019-20 and those first few months post Benitez wasn't too bad for me personally because I was a fresher at uni then and most days was just drinking, meeting new people, going out, lasses etc so it was easier to switch off or distance myself from how involved I was when Benitez was here and a ST holder. Still watched 9 games out of 10 mind, wanted us to win, celebrated goals and so on despite knowing that in the bigger picture it was pointless. But lockdown and COVIDball was just depressing, it was a completely different sport altogether. I only ever watched us out of a sense of duty, never big 6 games, no CL, EL. Nowt. It was absolutely shit and its no wonder I don't remember too many games (for someone who can be a bit of an NUFC guru ) unless I'm told specifically about them from that period.
  2. Just been subbed off now with 15 minutes to go. Lively in the first half but faded in the second a bit like Leverkusen themselves in this game tbf. They can't get RO16 and given they only need a point for EL seeing Atleti's result, I can see why. He has age massively on his side which is why I'm not overly fussed about a big fee. We shall see.
  3. Third time asking. Also have a look at this thread, no idea that things were so bad at Wolves.
  4. Christ Almighty. May be wrong but I think he lost loads of weight when he was at Leeds. Piled that back on.
  5. Atleti 2-0 down to Porto so as it stands they're out of European football completely. Leverkusen to the Europa League. Doing a bit of #scouting on Diaby. Canny game this tbf.
  6. A couple of them tbf, remember the first game of the season at West Ham, win v Burnley at home, win at Everton and a few more when I think about it. But tbh it's probably for the best that I and everyone else does their hardest to forget that period. March 2020-June 2021 was nowt but an absolutely depressing part of my and most people's lives and the football was barely football in my eyes. It was soulless, monotonous bilge and Bruceball and Bruce himself were nauseating.

    On this day...

I was only 12 funnily enough also the last time we were in Europe. Too young for aways but got to all group and knockout home games. The Anzhi and Benfica atmospheres have stuck with me tbf.
  8. The trend of replacing the first letter of players'/managers'/anyone's forename and surname with the letter P. Pason Pount, Pivan Poney, Perik Pen Pag. And myself for almost always finding it amusing. Ffs.

    On this day...

The last time we beat them at home.
  10. Arsenal should've put them away well before they equalised tbf. Going by their forum they seem pretty miserable too. Probably not a pasting but going into a PL game, away from home, expecting us to win is a terrifying and otherworldly feeling.
  11. The 3rd video down was the last "normal" weekend before COVID. Remember it incredibly vividly. Football was cancelled for the following week and we descended into that 18 months of hell. *shudder* Without sounding like an arrogant deluded jawdee I think we're capable of dishing out a pasting here. They tend to get one as a seasonal tradition? 0-6 last season, 9-0 before that and 0-9 before that. We're only 3/1 to score 3+ goals.
  12. Probably am his biggest critic most of the time but he was my MOTM yesterday. Relentless.
  13. I've watched the game back now and I'm fairly certain it does. Wish I never knew that.
  14. Robbed of the sight of absolute carnage in that West Ham end had that Rice shot went in. Sake.
  15. Lino needs to open his eyes. Throw ins given when the ball didn't go out twice now.
  16. We've only lost to Southampton once, behind closed doors under Bruce, since promotion in 2017.
  17. Joelinton will be a big loss but we should still have too much for them. 0-2.
