  1. Any card tips for the Atleti game?
  2. Had a search for that black and white tiger quote, found it from this article. Some of the quotes from Hughton and Roeder, man. https://archive.ph/2022.02.23-181407/https://theathletic.com/1976240/2020/08/06/newcastle-managers-bruce-shearer-keegan-robson-benitez-pardew-hughton-mcclaren-gullit-roeder/?amp
  3. Starting to love him as much as I did Benitez.
  4. Can see nigh on all of our remaining games on TV tbh.
  5. That's only the first 2 weekends of April, rest of April will be confirmed after the next FA Cup draw.

    Paul Dummett

He should be moved on. He'd be okay as emergency cover but he's barely ever fit enough to be even that. Only logical reason I can think of for an extension is the homegrown at club squad registration rules, don't think we have many.
  7. I had us finishing 10th on 47 points can tell we haven't had a decent run for a while. We'll be nowhere near 10th but I do think we'll be closer to that position than to the bottom 3 come the end of the season. I had Leeds, Watford and Norwich going down but Leeds on level points with Burnley, 1 behind Brentford and 2 behind Everton. Could go down to the last day, hopefully we're clear by the time that comes. Teams won't want to play us at SJP. We've only lost at home to Man City under Howe and the scoreline flattered Man City that day. Bar Liverpool I think all of our home games are winnable, or at least we can get points from. Away from home is an area we haven't seen much of under Howe given how many home games we've had recently and the opposition in the away games that we have had.
  8. It is tbf. When he first signed for us he'd wear his Newcastle shirt when going round the Metro Centre, gym and at his house. Looks like he still does.
  9. ASM rarely makes runs in behind though, he often comes deep to receive the ball.
  10. Can't decide the final spot, other 2 are Watford and Norwich, but the other is open to Brentford, Burnley, Everton, us or Leeds. Don't think we'll go, think Leeds will win enough games, Everton will win enough home games. Worry is whether Brentford seriously tail off with their next 3 fixtures or Burnley continue some form of resurgence.
  11. This is a like a proper old school game from the 80s or 90s. Class.

I take back everything bad I ever said about him now. He's immense. People often say its since Clark was sent off against Norwich but he's been simply outstanding since Howe's first game in charge at home to Brentford. Long may it continue. Borderline outrageous his improvement but to be honest it shouldn't shock us. He was one of a few who just simply needed some guidance and coaching from a competent manager.
  14. Well worth the £25m if that meow shithousery is true.
  15. He was said to be out for around 8 weeks from his injury which he picked up on 27 December, which is this Monday. Could see him back in a matchday squad for Brighton (h).
  16. We've played 16 games since Bruce was sacked, and only lost 5 of them. Which were to Chelsea, Arsenal, Leicester, Liverpool and Man City. Only the Chelsea and Man City losses were at SJP and Chelsea was pre Howe. We'd have a couple more wins had small things went our way, too.
  17. Ah. Still, they play on Wednesday. I'd probably expect them to win tbh.
  18. Very winnable, should've beat them at SJP as well. 0-2.
  19. A win against Brentford would be huge. Watford and Burnley play their games in hand on Wednesday, they're at home to Palace and Spurs respectively.
