Looks like this thread was the reason it was taken down. This Dave was The Fish on there, decent poster. Personally posted on there years ago but came on here as TT seemed just dead.

Personally have complete indifference towards Everton. Know a couple irl, good lads. This bizarre Newcastle-Everton hatred seems to be an online thing, never met an Evertonian who hates us like those on Twitter or GOT or vice versa for us tbh. The banner thing, I'm not going to be one telling fans of other clubs what they should or shouldn't expect. We had it for over a decade with Ashley and Pardew, Bruce, et al. That 'fans demand the best' banner, isn't that to do with their motto? Nil stasis nisi optimum translates to more or less 'nothing but the best' doesn't it? Isn't that banner a play on that? They also, like us, saw right through and despised Allardyce whilst the media constantly shouted them and us down. While the mackems adore(d) him. While it would be funny if they went down as a club their size shouldn't be in the Championship I won't be outwardly celebrating like, be too busy celebrating our own survival should we achieve it.

Should still sing it now, bring the old songs back. Now we literally only sing the Joelinton song, Blaydon Races at light speed, who's that team called united, Toon Toon black and white army, Eddie Howe' b&w army and a particular player's name repeated to no tune at all. Our songbook is shit, like.

West Ham (h) pen Villa (a) Pen and red card for Martinez wasn't given for a bollocks 'offside' after we were told 'level' was coming back Brighton (a) pen was iffy Arsenal (a) no pen given to Schar in the first half at 0-0, more of a pen than the one on Wilson which got more coverage at 1-0 Leicester (a) pen Liverpool (a) not exactly VAR but play not being stopped for their equaliser Man City (h) no pen given on Fraser Man Utd (h) arguable red card not being given to Rapenaldo Leeds (a) no pen given on ASM

Really curious, just why/how are you so bad? You've got decent players, DCL is back. Mad how far the side has dropped given their form in the first half of last season. Also, do you expect a new manager to be in for this or will Ferguson be given to the end of the season?

Draw would be ideal but it shouldn't really matter if we beat Everton.
-
Whatever the result in the Burnley v Watford game on the 5th Feb we'll be 19th again.
-
Craig Pawson is on VAR, the same ref who was on VAR when we didn't get a stonewall pen v Man City. Yet Liverpool got that bollocks. Couldn't make it up.

Missing this one as I'm back at uni. Back up for Villa though. Few signings in, 2-0, 3 points, we'll stay up. No clue if Duncan Ferguson will still be in charge either, hopefully he is. Beating these will drag them right into it alongside maybe Leeds and Brentford.

Howe got today tactically spot on. Don't remember a clear cut Leeds chance. All subs were outstanding, has to be said. Manquillo, Longstaff and even Clark. Not a single foot wrong. Willock grew right into the game as it went on so hopefully this is the start of his season. Shelvey surprised me with how well he worked off the ball and his lack of attempting shit diagonals. ASM was frustrating but often made the right decisions, Willock should've finished his pass late on and he should've had a pen. Wood grafted but lack of quality is evident, his hold up play is inherently inconsistent. Anyway, superb result that we must build on. Get some signings in, beat Everton and we're cooking.

He got that tactically spot on.

Don't think this has been too bad. Raphinha is dangerous once he gets to the byline, like. Has happened a few times now.
-
I'd take a point today. 3 points from safety with a better goal difference than 17th with a game in hand. 2 weeks break, last week of the window, Everton coming up.
-
16:33 onwards. Good watch and fair points made.
-
What a fucking cunt that man is. Can't wait for the day he keels owa.
-
The fewm from all the yer das at ASM and Lingard dancing is well worth this deal imo.
-
My thoughts too along with the fact that there's zero guarantees that we come back should we go down. That squad still needs demolition even if we do get relegated.
-
If he's Howe's number 1 centre half target (or number 2 given how Botman went) then I say just pay the 40m-60m it might take. Different scenarios but Liverpool in mid 2017-18 forked out £75m(?) for Van Dijk and eyebrows were raised at that at the time iirc. Now it looks a snip. If Diego Carlos has a similar sort of impact on our defence and in turn our results given how many points we've thrown away from winning positions, surely it's worth it?

Decent watch. Talks about what it was like reporting on the takeover in the first 20 mins.
-
30m with incentives like 5m if we stay up and 5m on his performance like once he scores 10 goals is a fine deal. A lot for a kid whose played ~900 minutes of first team football like, but it's where we are and the likelihood is he'll be an upgrade on what we have.
-
This might be the dodgy yellow for an Arsenal player. Xhaka. They're 1-4 up with 5 minutes left.
-
Have a soft spot for him but if he's not going to play in a #10, which is a position we don't play with, then he shouldn't play at all. So I'd cash in tbh. No one's stumping up that fee, mind.
-
They have tough games up until they play us. So maybe, if we can get our shit in order.
