  1. The backs of those shirts do as they're both white.

Agree and agree with Ronaldo too, hence why I'm holding back from or editing predictions until and when the transfer window closes.
  3. One for the older fans, Which season did you enjoy the most or prefer looking back, 1992-93 or 1993-94? I listened to Marc Corby and George Caulkin talk about the former and how similar it is to now but personally from the season reviews and stuff that I've watched a similar ride to the latter is all I ever want to experience really besides winning a trophy.
  4. TBH would be delighted with just a tie that we simply just should get through, ie Barrow at home.
  5. Would love WBA at home, the atmosphere at that Don't want the mackems, ever. Probably not until we're on a Man City level and the derby being a quality difference equivalent of if Man City right now drew Stockport County.
  6. Is it "not-gonna-happen-so-move-on-ya-weird-cultists?"
  7. Is it me being a huge pedant or does that still clash? Brighton play in blue and white stripes and all of our kits clash with theirs, so we'll bring out a one off kit in light blue with dark blue trim.
  8. Knew it would be an issue. Don't like that shirt btw. Looks like the front of a uni prospectus.
  9. Talk of Man Utd fans boycotting their home game v Liverpool on Twitter.
  10. If either of Anderson or Almiron, one unproven at the top level and the other who IMO isn't good enough, start a PL game for us in CM then I'd be quite disappointed tbh. I get what you're saying btw, assuming you mean Almiron would be the most advanced midfielder of the 3 so we may as well be playing a 4-2-3-1 with Almiron as a sort of #10, his actual position for a change. Admittedly I barely saw any of pre season outside of the 1860 game but playing 2 advanced midfielders would also work rendering us playing a 4-1-4-1 in possession similar to what Rodgers' Leicester played when they had success early under him in 2019-20. I just don't think Almiron is good enough as is and a few goals in pre season doesn't change that. If he proves me wrong I'd be absolutely delighted.
  11. Just because a CB can pass a ball moderately well will never, ever mean they could play DM. How many times
  12. And part of the reason for that was his consistency of playing players out of position. Wingers at full back, full backs at centre back and #10s/wingers at CM. Shuddering at the thought of watching that again.
  13. Only lost to Southampton once since we got promoted in 2017.
  14. Can't be any worse than last season's. A home draw against someone absolutely shit for me. Don't want the mackems. Derby away would be great for greedy personal reasons. https://www.nufc.com/
  15. In Bruce's brainless 5-3-2 at the start of last season, aye. When West Ham, Villa and Southampton wandered through our midfield in consecutive games.

Out of curiosity I looked at Rodgers' early period in charge of Leicester and looked for any kind of similarities as besides last season and this they're kinda what we want emulate in the coming years. Took over from Puel and turned their form around; took 17 points from 30: 5 wins, 2 draws, 2 losses. Then in the summer they signed James Justin, Ayoze Perez, Dennis Praet and made Tielemans' loan permanent. In the first half of 2019-20 they took 39 points from 19 matches which included an 8 match winning streak and the record PL away win. Semi-finalists in the League Cup and got to the 6th Round of the FA Cup. Ended up throwing top 4 away a bit and finished 5th on the last day but still a sort of season we would only dream of this year. However, they already had Vardy, Maddison and Tielemans (kinda) there and Soyuncu wasn't dreadful then. The former 3 names are the type of quality of player we need to be getting in what remains of this window; maybe Maddison himself. Who knows. Only then can we get close to 6th and above imo.

In 2011-12 when we finished 5th we won 19 matches but drew 8 and lost 11, 65 points. That's Europa League form and it'll be even less for Conference League. However, the main reason why I think 7th will be our maximum ceiling this season is I can't see who we'd displace in the top 6. Aye, Man Utd are shite but they've a better squad than us still imo. Likewise with West Ham and with Leicester's starting XI. In 2011-12 we finished above Chelsea and Liverpool; I can't see us going above 1 let alone 2 of the big 6 as stands right now. 1 or 2 quality signings though and that may change.
  18. The Bacchus had banners of old NUFC players (including Bruno though) in the pub on Saturday, thought it was pretty cool.
  19. Thanks for going after Bruce but it's time to say how many shit takes Craig Hope has come out with recently.
  20. Haven't won here in the PL yet so have had to include a couple of the draws. Think we'll finally get a win here though, 0-2.

As it stands right now, we have a slight chance of 7th if we can get 30-32+ games out of both Wilson and ASM. But going off the history, they will get injured at some point, especially Wilson. It hinges on that stipulation atm, sign a quality attacker or a Maddison and our chances improve.
