Everton played well yesterday and I'm pleased for Rafa. Know a couple of Evertonians in real life and they're great lads, nowt like those cunts online who hate Newcastle for no real reason. But I've got to be honest, I hope he fails. Seeing him succeed with another PL club will be far too painful.

I do have to say the patter about match going fans is fucking tedious at this stage. It's poisonous, boring and pretty pointless tbh. Newcastle fans will always go to the match regardless unless results and division status turns. History proves this. The Ashley era, very early 90s, the 80s, 70s, its always the same. Booing the knee mind is absolutely embarrassing. All fanbases will have incredibly shortsighted morons on this topic or on vaccines or whatever and will boo. I did hear applause during it though it is still absolutely embarrassing and not representative of the city of Newcastle for me.

2nd half was embarrassing defensively. 3 times now Bruce has conceded 4+ goals at SJP, not even Pardew has done that many times. Defensively we look a fucking mess and while we looked useful in attack particularly in the first half, West Ham's midfield was/is lightyears ahead of ours. Willock will improve that but fuck me. Also, playing two wingers at wing back and a right back at centre half when two centre halves are on the bench is laughable. Subs were shite as well. Bruce needs to beat either Villa next week or Southampton after that or this is gonna turn.

After the Man Utd home loss wasn't it? Found it anyway.

Had a trawl on YouTube and found a few of these to try and look forward to the game. Not really helped but thought I'd share.

Howay Strasbourg, what a header
-
The pattern on it looks like the elbow/forearm pads that were on 90s/early 00s goalkeeper shirts.

I do too, 3pm kick offs are part of the fabric of football in this country that hasn't been totally destroyed yet but trying to find a stream which buffers more often than not is something I don't miss and am not looking forward to.

Naff from Krul.

"Leeds are falling apart again"

It's shite from Leeds, like. Not taking anything away from Man Utd but one ball and they're in behind.

Fernandes hattrick. Unreal.
-
Could end up being any score now. 3-1. Fernandes is class like, the fucking rat.
-
Great pass and goal. Greenwood's gonna be a star.
-
What a strike from Ayling.
-
Was that not a foul on Leno there? Jansson was holding him. Soft, like.

Get in. Haven't watched Arsenal Fan TV in ages.

The state of Arsenal. For a club that size to have players like these out for a PL game is terrible.
-
The cynic in me makes me think they tried to do it as close to Sunday as possible to maximise ticket uptake tbh.

Around £21m iirc. Happy with this. Ridiculous how it wasn't done in time.

Posted it a few times now, imo the fanbase has always been like that in terms of mass protest. Boycotts never work; United Supporters For Change's boycott of Leeds at home in August 1989 resulted in a crowd which was the in the top 5 gates that season, 2 of which were derbies. Attempts under Ashley have fallen flat on their arse (with perhaps the exception or Spurs 2015, even still that's a stretch) and it's resulted in me thinking calls or wishes for boycotts are pointless when it comes to Newcastle fans, they've always failed even before the PL. Gates fall with poor results and league position: 1978-1982, 1988-91. TBH, boycotts are doomed to fail at any Premier League club whilst they are in the Premier League imo. Mass protest? The fanbase has got far too many egos, excuses and is far too fractured now to get anything like a big storming of the pitch off the ground. Newcastle though is far too myopic in its thinking and for the most part always has been.
