Why's he going with his right foot there? Shockingly bad.
-
That 4th Spain goal, lush.
-
He speaks well but he's just a bottling wet flannel. McClaren-esque. Doesn't inspire anything near Bruce or Pardew levels of hatred.
-
That happened at times for us this season under Bruce, pointless passes between the centre halves and holding mids before an aimless long ball forward and turnover of possession. Perfect example was when we'd have a throw-in in the opposition's third and the ball would end up with our keeper in 2 passes. Can easily see us doing that at some point in this tournament if we persist with 2 holding mids.

16 goals and 20 assists for Dortmund this season.

No Sancho again? Fuck me, man. Southgate is such a bottling cunt.

Personally love pure black and white with predominantly black trim, it's why I love the 1993-95 kit with the McEwans Lager sponsor, just a completely black and white kit. But yeah, to win fans over they just have to replicate 1995-97 tbf. Just recreate Juventus' 2017-18 kit with black shorts and they're sorted.
-
Our home kit should always be more black than white, a la 1993-95, 2001-03 or 2017-18. That concept is awful. Like the change kits though.

Partly true. https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/rafa-benitez-how-champions-league-winning-manager-was-convinced-stay-newcastle-united-a7048451.html 'The streets around Anfield Road were awash with Newcastle fans. It was half past two on Saturday 23 April. There was renewed optimism in those supporters. Newcastle had picked up four points from their previous two games. In the queues to the turnstiles and inside the stadium, the song of Rafa Benitez, to the tune of La Bamba, was being repeated over and over. Two girls walked through the crowds to get to the main entrance to the main stand of Anfield; Claudia and Agata Benitez. In a second half fightback, Newcastle would score twice and earn a 2-2 draw. The songs did not stop. Later that night, back at the family home in the Wirral that Benitez’s family did not leave when he went to either Napoli or Real Madrid, the two girls spoke to their father. “Dad, you cannot leave these people,” they told him. “They love you. You have to stay.”'

Ah, the classic 'experience over youth' bollocks.

Playing both Rice and Phillips reeked of being terrified of losing the game. Scotland did play well but they're the 3rd lowest ranked team in the competition, we're at our home stadium, we should've went for their throats. The amount of sideways and backwards passes was reminiscent of some performances of pure Bruceball; knocking it around the back 4 and holding midfielders and not going anywhere because the gap between the front 4 and the rear 6 was enormous. We should've went with just Phillips holding, Grealish and Mount in front with Sancho, Foden and Kane (if he was fully fit, if not throw DCL up top). That way we can get more numbers in the box against a low block and still have players back in the case of a counter attack. But Southgate will never do that. Just like Hodgson, he's an absolute bottler who'll play the most protective football he can so it feels like we can control a game for 90 minutes where in actual fact we'll create absolute fuck all. And with the attacking players that we have, that is unforgiveable.
-
Either way, McClaren should've gone after Chelsea. Rafa may have approached the club then. But McClaren didn't go after Chelsea as Charnley is a rancid bottling cunt who couldn't admit that he was wrong in finally getting the bloke who he sounded out after Pardew left, wrote off the rest of 2014/15 to wait for him to become available so gave Carver the rest of the season which was a decision which almost sent us down, then when Charnley finally got his man he pretty much took us down anyway.
-
McClaren should've gone after we lost 5-1 to a midtable Chelsea in mid February. We had 3 weeks until the next 2 matches; a quick double header of Stoke away and Bournemouth at home. Give Benitez those two games and there's 4 points. We stay up. Even still we'd have been far more solid in the games at Norwich and Southampton instead of the disjointed mess we were as Benitez had next to no time for those.
-
He's a complete bottler. Two holdings midfielders at home to Scotland is shocking. Playing a clearly unfit Harry Kane is bizarre, as was taking Foden off and not giving Sancho a single minute thus far in this tournament. Tonight was just like under Hodgson.
-
Scotland played well but that was absolutely shocking. Rancid performance.
-
Get Grealish and/or Sancho on.
-
Although Stones should've scored that was shite. Sideways, backwards monotonous dilge. Scotland have got numbers in the box and been a bit direct in possession and could have 2 goals.
-
That Scot who fell over pissed
-
Nice to get some recognition I suppose. He was a dream choice in the case of a hypothetical takeover. Dream. I doubt he'd have came regardless. Threatening to call in bomb threats in the case of a manager they hate being appointed though, going by that place. Nice bunch. The people's club.
-
Personally wanted new owners to try and entice Allegri instead of getting Rafa back if he was still out of work by the time the takeover happened but Allegri's back at Juventus now. Conte is probably not feasible and may not want a project. Nuno doesn't excite me, nor does Howe. Nee clue.
-
Don't think Rafa taking the Everton job has owt to do with how the arbitration is going to go. Doubt the two were ever linked tbh. Plenty of good managers out there and tbh we may well could do better with new owners. The status quo doesn't bear thinking about.
-
Hate that he's at another PL club. Hopefully we're taken over as we may well be able to do better than Benitez.
