My dream is Conte. It was Allegri back in April 2020 when it looked like it was going through then so Conte seems the next best thing. Why they'd not even bother asking a manager of that calibre about the taking the job would be beyond me, would have the standing in the game to attract good players and so forth. Potter doesn't excite me, I know he's a great coach, plays good football and has done well with Brighton but he just doesn't. Same with Howe now too, though I'd probably end up taking both if they'd be open to come. All other top managers like those you've mentioned are all in jobs and I'm unsure if we could prise any of them away at this stage.

After living in Derby for 2 years and in my final year there now, I've never met any Derby fans with those views about us. At all. Funnily enough, there's a few Leicester lads I'm mates with and they fully get why Ashley's a cunt, even before they met me. If they would've gone for a manager of Benitez' calibre then why isn't Conte at least a candidate? Different story if he's already said no, but going by those articles the choices are a bit underwhelming imo.

Going by that forum its because they're buying into those perpetuated myths. "Delusions of grandeur, were only good for a couple years in the 90s, not won anything since the 50s, good support is a myth" et cetera et cetera. It's water off a duck's arse to me now. If they want him they're welcome to the parasite, for them 4 out of 6 years being 17th in the PL is paradise at the minute and that's what they'll see.

He'd probably dish out a few of those interest free loans to them, get them out of administration and keep them up. That's probably what they see and why they'd take him. Whether the future after that is what Derby fans want then fair enough to them. We fell from grace from being more or less where Spurs are now to being perennial relegation battlers.
