  1. Love that shirt. Bought it and wearing it now funnily enough.
  2. Aye but league 1 or premier league. Love how it’s jumped to £450m all of a sudden too It hasn't. But probably will if someone called the FCB's bluff and offered £400m.

What if you had the self-insight to know you'd probably never break into the English side, but that you could break into the Welsh side? Surely you'd at least consider it. Despite having ties to Wales and a clear Welsh influence on my life, I just don't feel Welsh. I've lived here in the north east of England all my life and speak with a clear Geordie accent. It'd be weird, especially if playing against England.

I have a Welsh grandad, and Welsh influence is clear to see with my name. So I feel a tie to the country. Wouldn't represent them over England if I was a footballer though. But what the player thinks his chances of getting into the respective national sides are would also play into the decision.
  5. Aye. Was the only player performing at the start of that 2014-15 season looking back, particularly the Palace home game. Remember Aarons himself RT'd a tweet from a fan saying that, something along the lines of 'shame Pardew played you through injuries to save his job'. He might not have been amazing but players with pace are good assets to have and his then manager certainly didn't help things, the horrid cunt.
  6. I'm not going to lose sleep over this obvious tool, but the majority of teams in the league when Pardew was in charge had no where near the comparable spending power that they do in today's market either... what a bell-end Was more the "Pardew did better under same constraints" part. Hardly constraints when the bloke was complicit in them and sucked off fat Mike in post match interviews after wins.
  7. Here's an example. What an absolute weapon. https://twitter.com/markcurry26/status/1020589600262295553
  8. That Mark Curry is a relentless melt btw. Unbelievable levels of thickness.
  9. A section of our away support are braindead, be the same lot who sing "sign on" and sing about stealing stereos at Anfield and just try to generally cause bother. Can completely see why older fans who travelled away in the 70s, 80s and 90s have packed it in because of those dickheads.

He came from Oxford United didn't he? Swear I remember reading a thread on Oxford's forum talking about how they've clocked on him slagging us off knowing the mackems would lap it up. And they will as well.
  11. 'Ben Arfa Control Vs. Stoke' on youtube. Amazing. We were great that day, Cisse, Tiote, Cabaye & Ben Arfa were just excellent. We were world beaters that day. Unbelievably good. Cabaye's pass to Cisse for the first was ridiculous tbh, not sure anyone else in the ground knew that ball was on. Unreal. That season. Whilst it wasn't short of Pardisms some days were utter magic. Tearing West Brom apart in 45 minutes in their own backyard, Ryan Taylor over the wall, Hatem v Bolton, Hatem v Blackburn, Ba hat trick at Stoke, hammering Fergie under the lights at SJP, the Stoke home game that you've mentioned, the unbeaten run at the start, finally winning at Stamford Bridge from those two goals, Cisse playing like the second coming of Andy Cole. Goddammit, may never see a season like that again in the near future.
  12. Genuinely don't know how people can still buy the shit before the game and at half time, there's cheaper (or equally priced) and far better tasting pints and pies all over the city. Drink before the game outside the ground or take a pie from wherever in with you.
  13. It's some Brazilian sitcom. I'd be watching loads of Blackadder and Only Fools & Horses if having to spend to vast majority of the year in a different country as well tbf.
  14. Not sure on what basis we would be worth more? Watford have invested in their squad over the last few years whilst we haven't. And in the training ground, infrastructure etc. If you think about what a new owner would need to invest in to get us up to speed: training ground improvements, academy investment, playing staff investment, you're looking at a lot of cash, probably £150m minimum. I wasn't sure what Watford had done from a facilities point of view so avoided mentioning that BUT we've certainly neglected them and you're right, if we are fortunate enough to get a new owner then they'll have to spend a bit on different aspects of the club. Just after a quick bit of searching, they have a -135 degrees cryotherapy chamber for recovery at the training ground. Hate to think what our lads are forced to make do with. Don't want to know tbh, it's embarrassing.

  16. We have to pick up points in this next set of games after the break. Hope we don't set up in this one like we did against Chelsea.
  17. Ridiculous reason for having to come off aside I thought he was much better today. Mendy wasn't getting in the crosses he usually puts in as much and Kenedy was bringing pressure off the backline when receiving possession in the first half. Good stuff.
  18. Is he not just another bitter ex player, in the sort of Bellamy category? He didn’t like the fan base when he was here because of the pressure etc. He sort of gets the craic going off what he's said tonight tbf to him.
  19. He said he was playing devil's advocate and for some of the bollocks he spouted was pulled up by Jenas and the presenter tbf. Doubt he's a Bishop pawn Yeah, it seems very unlikely tbh. He still keeps making the point about it being Ashley's own money though, it's infuriating. Doubt he's as informed and knows the ins and outs of the Ashley regime as Jenas and Humphrey are, who's Twitter mentions will be usually consisting of Newcastle fans.
