Just been on there myself, first thread I read was asking who others would support should Sunderland go tits up. First answer? Whoever is playing NUFC. If you think the longstaffs will be anywhere near the squad 3 years after these take over you're off you're rocker. Didn't say they would be. Love a bit of ageism. Frankly, two of the players mentioned are younger than 23 and one is homegrown. To just go 'get rid, shite, not as good as the players between 93-04' is shortsighted and isn't how building a squad over time works. Completely random fact: the only seasons in which we've scored more goals at SJP than in 2010-11 are 1993-94, 1994-95, 1996-97 and 1999-00. Mad. We did dish out a few drubbings at home that season, 6-0 v Villa, 5-1 v mackems, 5-0 v West Ham, 4-1 v Wolves. And obviously the Arsenal 4-4.

If they takeover and if they get this right, probably getting ahead of myself but I can see us making it a top 7 rather than a top 6.

Although I somewhat agree, some of the points we've achieved have been incredibly lucky. Chelsea at home, Sheffield United away, Southampton at home, Brighton at home, Everton away. In addition I've only enjoyed watching 2 games this season, West Ham and West Brom which we still almost contrived to throw away. Some of the football served has up has been unequivocally vile; both games against Leicester and Wolves, Brighton, Norwich, Villa, Oxford. Due to the luck I can see why some are (strenuously) finding it difficult to give him credit as well as the regression from last season: after we beat Watford in November, up the the end of the season we were 7th in terms of points and after Almiron signed we were a good side and played nice stuff. To me, I was expecting us to be in a dogfight and get relegated due to the atmosphere around the club post-Rafa. However we've mostly stayed away from relegation fears and for getting to where we are in the FA Cup though the games against our first two League One opponents should rightly be criticised. I give him credit for exceeding my ridiculously low expectations, nothing more. The sooner he is gone if/when the takeover is announced the better.

The fullbacks were our weak link under Rafa and probably still are with no Willems. No wonder he tried to go for N'Soki, 3 or 4 signings into that team last season with Rafa, Rondon and Perez and we would've been transformed. Gutted.

My last season as a season ticket holder before moving away, what a miserable 2 weeks that was. Felt full on nauseous leaving that Liverpool game. Rancid.

Posting about in the kits thread reminded me of it: the back to back home games where we lost 0-3 to the mackems in 0-6 to Liverpool in 2012/13. Probably the 2 worst games I've witnessed at SJP in my whole life. In the space of 2 fucking weeks. Horrid.

That kit would've been canny without those horrendous spikes. Shame that I now associate that kit with home humiliations against the mackems and Liverpool.

Palace's view is wank, was there for the 5-1. In terms of SJP, while they couldn't be moved pitchside anyway because of how it's configured I personally would like away fans kept up in L7. Moving them pitchside would give the away team an advantage; home fans across the country are usually much quieter than away fans and having the usually louder away fans closer to the pitch gives the opposition an advantage. Keep them up there iyam. Focus on improving the atmosphere amongst ourselves instead of using away fans outsinging us to 'improve' the atmosphere.

Disagree, 2017-18 home kit and last season's away kit were nice. Almost everything else has been shite from them though, sooner they're binned off the better.
