I disagree. For 60 minutes we were pushing for the third. Only once Diame conceded the free kick which Mata scored from where we on the back foot. Agreed, 2 up front was needed. They were letting us cross the ball in because they knew that Dunk and Duffy would win the headers every time. The fact that there was barely any pressure on their 18 yard line with 15 minutes to go at 0-1 down at home is worrying. Everyone can be doing things better but I can't personally begrudge him one bit. Yeah, some minute changes I would've liked to have been different but on the whole with the hand he's been dealt by the cunts upstairs and by the fixture list, we're probably where we expected to be. I expected 4 more points than we currently have (wins v Cardiff and Brighton) at the start of the season but the gaping reasons in the side as to why we haven't got those points is clear, and it ain't down to Rafa.
-
Cardiff, Burnley and Brighton haven't played Spurs, Chelsea, Man City, Arsenal and Man United in their opening 8 games though. Yes, I'll accept that the Cardiff and Leicester performances were dire but I think that's more indicative of the quality of player he has to work with.

Yeah, it's not like one of those managers had a squad full of internationals who were good enough to use us as a stepping stone to Champions League football at the bottom of the league and the other has a squad that was assembled to win the Championship, or anything. The way some people have suddenly decided that, actually, yes Lewis Hamilton is driving against Formula One cars in a Renault Clio, but he's not blameless because he should be doing better and the tactics and pit stops are all wrong, is frankly embarrassing. I'm embarrassed that we have people like that in our fanbase.

having a go at the players is not winning games, taking hold of the game, being involved and taking the attack to the oppo is what i want from him, sorry but the lad doesn't look up for the fight, bar 10 mins v manure ive seen nothing from him all season. remember this kid is £25 million rated and would be our record transfer, he isn't looking like it ..............seems a bit of a sulk. Nee shit. Just him being 'half arsed' is bollocks. One of the few who always showed for the ball regardless of how good his end product was. That is the characteristic of a player who is arsed.
-
Half arsed wouldn't be the word for me, nowhere near his best obviously but he was the only one who had a go at the players for the lack of movement. Stayed in the centre circle for like 10 minutes after the final whistle looking gutted.

Who's gonna replace him and do better? Better than bottom with 2 points? Is that what you mean? Who do you honestly believe, with the exact players under the exact same constraints, will do a better job? Seriously, it genuinely fucking baffles me and makes me believe posts and tweets seriously questioning Rafa and wanting him out are from utter WUMs. It's like having a go at a surgeon for performing shit operations when only having knife and fork to operate with.

Were we not still 3 points ahead with a game in hand after that?

When on about Ashley, aye. When on about the club in general and his time here, no.
-
I disagree, personally don't think this team dwells on single results too much: we were utterly tragic v Leicester yet managed to pull that first 60 minutes at Old Trafford out of the bag. Worrying thing about this game is we'll be expectant of a win, and how that pressure translates onto the pitch.

Even under Ashley we’ve had more joy in Europe than Sunderland have had in their entire history. They should be ashamed at that. FFs. I've witnessed us play in Europe more than they have in their history. One of my favourite NUFC facts is that Shola Ameobi has scored more goals in European competitions than Sunderland have in their entire history.

Racist? evidence they are racist?
-
If they're murdering journalists who are critical of them hopefully they see how difficult Ashley is in negotiating and murder him as well.
-
Probably claiming they were cheering when Pickford cocked up.
-
Class. Pleased for Sterling.

Regarding that, I saw this tweet. I'm desperate and will take any bastard over Ashley atm.

Whey, for larger allocations/games on 0 points for a long time I'd agree; finding the charver mongs chucking beer around on the concourse, singing shite songs like that 'don't take me home' bollocks and 'is this a library' etc etc. For smaller allocations or the games with a lower percentage of bell ends, I love our away support. Agreed on England though, most of the fans that travel are a set of absolute wankers.

Scored in the last 5 in a row. Second highest top scorer as well. Couldn't get him though, would've upset Joselu. Supposedly he didn't want to come here, his chairman at Nice said he preferred the move to Germany even though our offer was a better deal for Nice. Of course there's no way of telling if our interest was genuine with the way this club works, but Plea did actually suggest that he was interested in a move to Spain because "La Liga is a league that’s very technical and is suited to attackers.” He ended up in Germany eventually, but you do wonder if he really fancied the Premier, allegedly West Ham and Spurs were interested as well. The whole thing just stank of a 'we tried' ploy. As soon as BMG came in with an offer we just gave up. A player like him coming in for finally a deal over our record fee would've lifted the mundane feeling felt throughout the window which was swept into the season itself. Sick of it.

Last 3 seasons have been ok. Though I do agree and wish we would follow suit.

Agreed. Thought this regarding wanting to stay down in the Championship if we go down. We won't. Ashley will bring in one of his minions as manager who is an utter mong, but okay enough at Championship level to bring us back up. Along with a budget from another one of Ashley's loans, increasing the club's debt to him. And the cycle starts again.
