What's the craic about that land behind the Gallowgate? Is it too late or could a new owner buy it back to extend that to L7 level? Don't really want to move from SJP, ever. God knows how much work it needs doing to it, though. As of so far Ashley has plans to build student accommodation on the site which would prevent an expansion to make the Hallowgate the same size as level 7 (but not prevent a smaller expansion) and prevent the Metro from being able to be extended from that line. Nexus (the owner and operator of the Metro) have asked him to slightly move one the buildings back which would leave open the option for them to extend the Metro line in future. So far he has refused to do so. The guy is not content with pissing off NUFC fans, but the citizens of Newcastle as a whole.
