    Rafa Benítez

And politician. I think he sees this as a game of chess, currently he's got Ashley in check; if no signings materialise it'll be Ashley's fault as he's just reiterated in that press conference it's on Ashley, and there'll be a backlash when/if we sign no one. He's done this shit at Liverpool, Valencia and Real Madrid. Doubt he'll have met as vile a cunt as Ashley, mind.
  2. That’s a problem that can be dealt with later if needed be. Like how? This is the worst part of the whole sorry saga for me. No matter who the next owner is, our future development as a club has been massively curtailed by this parasite. It's f*cking shameful how he has been allowed to develop this land to the detriment of the club. Shameful. At the moment there is no activity on the site and even though it has been approved it has only been done so on the on condition that an agreement with Nexus is made, which so far hasn’t happened. If Ashley’s intent to sell the club is real and he’s prepared to offer that bit of land to the new owners in a separate purchase then he’s not going to develop it any time soon. If PCP are struggling/reluctant to stump up £300m with no clauses I'd say the chances of them forking out another £60m for the land are pretty slim. And, to be honest, if they dont have plans to expand the stadium that is another potential red flag with this lot. It's a big if now unfortunately, but if PCP buy the club, I think Staveley will set up meetings with supporters' groups such as NUST etc. In those meetings it could be brought up.
  3. He wouldn't f***ing dare. Would he? If he genuinely wants to sell the club, he probably recognises the asset in Rafa. If he isn't interested in selling the club, I've no doubt he'd sack Rafa. He's expensive and dissents too much. The antithesis of Pardew. Him still being here is a positive then.
  4. Might tweet Douglas later and tell him to like they did back then. So what if they get banned.
  5. He's right, like. Miserable cunt. It's far easier said than done though.
  6. Priority should be a striker. But he's probably not allowed to sign one. Fanks Mike.
  7. Despite the fact it isn't worth more than her valuation imo, she has to up the bid to have a chance. Far easier said than done obviously and I'm no person to comment on business and financing, but Ashley won't budge. Urgh. He's such an evil, horrible wanker. Hope he dies asap.
  8. It looks like she still seriously wants it. Agree with everything else you've said though. He's a lying, vindictive cunt.
  9. I'm far more inclined to believe that article and her than Ashley. Ashley lied again. There's still an ounce of hope but it's not looking great.
  10. State of him, man. Ashamed he's associated with our club. Wanker.
  11. I've taken it as she still wants the club. Whilst the club isn't worth more than £250m she needs to up it. Will she do it? I'm leaning towards no but I've taken this as a shred of hope rather than a final collapse of the burning bridges into the river.
  12. I've got an awful feeling that as soon as we edge closer to PL safety (because I think we'll stay up) Ashley will just up the price to something ridiculous like £400m because he'll have seen the new TV deal. I've got to have hope though. I'll be miserable otherwise. What she's said is just what we want; whilst a Man City-esque takeover would be amazing, just being an efficient, growing football club that's allowed to maximise it's potential and revenue/turnover is all we want.
  13. Happened to me as well Bimpy. Dave's just fast as fuck. So she still wants the club then. Good. Hope.
  14. Sooner believe her than Ashley and his cronies. Always remember: "The club admitted to the Tribunal that it repeatedly and intentionally misled the press, public and fans of Newcastle United."
  15. I'll go with both, keeps the spirit up somewhat. Aye. Need some spirit ahead of that stupid football match on Saturday.
  16. "Big read on that potential takeover and plans for the club." Is that an indicator that there's still life or is it clutching at straws?
  17. Fairly certain NDAs are agreements to not disclose stuff from the club's books, so she can't say "NUFC is making X million every financial year" et cetera. So she can talk to the press.
  18. Really intrigued what she'll say. Glad she's having the interview with Caulkin as well. Best NE football journalist out there.
