  1. Bit of a contrast to what I actually said. They wouldn't, with all the positivity around the club, piss off Rafa, as that positivity will completely evaporate.
  2. And if Rafa gets p*ssed off with the regime and leaves within 2-3 years? Back to bog standard (or worse) managers without any great cup winning memories to look back on? The regime wouldn't dare do something to annoy Rafa. Yes, they're stupid cunts, but they arent so stupid to not realise if they do something idiotic with Rafa the fans will be in absolute uproar. There's a positivity around the club and they won't want to ruin that. I'd rather us be in the Premier League, being able to attract players of a higher calibre which will give us a chance to challenge for further silverware under Rafa. A League Cup win hasn't exactly done wonders for Birmingham City, or clubs of that ilk that have won one of the cups and are now lingering in the second or even third tiers. Fuck that.
  3. To be fair we have had quite favourable draws in recent years in the cup, we have just chosen to chuck them away. I can't remember the last tough draw we had in the FA cup. I'm taking nothing for granted, learnt my lesson in that wolves game. Over half a chance of playing one of the top teams in the quarters too if we get there. Be good to be competing in the latter stages of cups again though and with Rafa this time who knows We never seem to be at home in the FA Cup. Can only remember one home FA Cup tie in the last 6 years and it was Cardiff in 2013-14?
  4. Think if we actually are in a chance of winning the League Cup, we'll probably be promoted anyway. Would still stick by my earlier answer and take promotion back to the Premier League than a cup win right now; short term pain, long term gain.
  5. Heart almost imploded when the mackems and us were in the last 4 to be drawn take that though. As someone earlier just said, only Arsenal and us will be happy with that draw.
  6. Someone who is absolutely shite at home please. We all know its going to be Arsenal or Chelsea away or something like that.
  7. Was at the game last night, in my season ticket seat with a couple of mates. Hate cup games in terms of the crowd like, full of very young kids who don't know who's who and spend almost the whole game on their phones (one was playing on that Pokemon Go shite. Ffs) But mainly it's the mongs that think that being a cunt at games is funny, causing bother, like to goad away fans etc etc. Got some pictures of the bother in the Leazes End. http://i.imgur.com/UDnzHnt.jpg Notice there's two large groups of our lot, one closest to the wall and the line of stewards separating the two sets of fans and another close the exit in the more centre than left side of the image. I also caught the bother on Northumberland Street, same sort of tracksuit wearing mongs, banging on the shutters along the street and there was a large group of kids aged from around 12-19 jumping around and on people's shoulders chanting and throwing stuff around in the McDonald's there.

I think it's quite apparent they already are. Been spending beyond their means for years. Administration if they go down?
  9. Agreed. Bloke who used to sit one row above me (I'm in East Stand block L) always said "forward man, get it forward" whenever we made a pass backwards. Thank God he's fucked off.
  10. Was a big day for the groaning freaks yesterday. Even before they scored. People are mongs. Like honestly, they were whinging at every little thing. I know we should be beating virtually everyone at home but it isn't always gonna happen so easy. Games like yesterday we should be getting behind them not groaning every pass and booing them off at half time / full time. They're c***s. They need to f*** off to the cinema if they're just there to be "entertained". Some of the lads (t***s) that sit behind me were absolutely horrendous yesterday, like. One of them seemed incapable of shouting anything other than 'f***ing c***s' every few words. As much as I can't stand watching Paul Dummett struggle about a football pitch, some of the stick he was getting yesterday was embarrassing. Where were you sitting? In the Gallowgate. Blimey. I can understand our fans' frustration as in the groaning when we couldn't complete basic 5 yard passes, fuck the booing though. But I don't understand the grief Dummett's gotten, both at the game and on FB and Twitter after.

Would they be in the shit financially if they went down this year?

  14. Stoke look absolutely dreadful. Just as bad if not worse than we were yesterday.
  15. Thought we'd win tbh but there's always a small hunch that this'll happen. And it always does.
  16. Worse than Huddersfield, the day. Worst performance at SJP since Bournemouth iyam.
  17. Nailed it. Absolutely spot on.
  18. 51,000+ easily. Absolutely amazing. Proud to be a Geordie.
  19. This is from my much younger perspective. I think I've said it in an earlier post or a different thread, but we should've went for Rafa after the end of the 2012-13 season imo. His "caretaker/interim" job at Chelsea came to an end, and our fans began to massively turn on Pardew after the Europa League excuses, 0-3 and 0-6 home defeats etc etc. And I'm too young to have experienced the buzz after promotion to the Premier League under Keegan in 1993, but I suppose if/when we get back up, the feelings will be the same? And in our first season in the PL we finished 3rd? Not saying we're going to finish in the top 4 when we get back up by any means, but it completely excites me what we're capable of doing in the top tier with this feeling of positivity and optimism around the club after years of apathy and no hope, and it's all thanks to this man. He's the first Toon manager who we've had while I've been properly supporting us who I've felt this much adulation for, probably more so than Keegan as I didn't get to see us in the 90s, and Hughton. He's got me looking forward to the match for the first time since maybe the 5th place Cisse-Ba-Ben Arfa season. Bring on Saturday!
  20. 0-8 or 0-9 wouldn't have even been flattering, and that's what the scoreline probably should've been like with Atsu's off-the-bar strike (which might have been over the line, there's nee goal line technology in the Championship), Perez's offside goal and many chances when got through, Mitrovic hitting the bar, fuck me
