  1. A big Palace fan account tweeted he looked lethal when played up front with Murray for them, guessing this was 2013/14 which was their first season? Remember he scored a hatful that season. Be disappointed if he went tbh but if we get a replacement (a big if knowing NUFC these days) that can be considered an upgrade then happy days.
  2. Origi; on a loan perhaps? Providing him and the craic about the Lemar deal aren't true or don't happen. Is Origi really a upgrade? He's got a poor injury record himself and hasn't really stood out when he has played. Unsure about his injury record, just looks useful and could give us something different, could score goals if starting consistently. Think anyone will be a gamble at this stage.

  4. "Hoping". That's what kills. :'(
  5. Origi linked in the Ronny. Would take. Not sure the club will even go for him. 'Tried really hard, just couldn't get him over the line'.
  6. I bought him on Football Manager yesterday, that's the closest we'll get to signing him.
  7. Palace's next 2 game live on Sky. If De Boer doesn't pick up 2 points at least he's gone imo.
  8. Sooner rather than later, yep. YANITED. I'll start worrying again if we don't sign a single player before the deadline, which is looking likely by the hour unfortunately. Still clinging on to hope. Youthful naivety and all that. Their next 4 PL games are Huddersfield (h), West Brom (a), Spurs (h) and Swansea (h). I reckon he'll be ok.
  9. We don't have a future while Mike Ashley is here. More chance of a future in the Premier League than rolling around in Championship or below with a 52,000 seat stadium hanging around our neck. Regardless of well supported we've been in the Championship the one season we've stayed there each time there comes a point where the attendance figures would drop. I think that's a tough one tbh. It's difficult to judge how desirable we are to a potential purchaser, when his asking price is as unrealistically high as its alleged to be. You'd probably expect the demand to be higher for a PL club than a Championship one, but it's not as if second-tier clubs haven't been purchased. That's the thing for me. While I can sort of see why people would want the club to be relegated to rid us of Ashley due to the less exposure for SD and loss of the TV revenue et al, but an NUFC in the PL would garner more interest for buyers than an NUFC in the Championship, imo. I want Ashley out as much as anyone on here but I just couldn't get myself to the stage where I hope the club loses games and goes down, to me it's nauseous.

Their craic is utterly lifting, like.
  11. Think we'll edge this 0-1, based on nothing whatsoever.
  12. Incredibly quick...going by his FIFA stats. #scouting
  13. Did you really believe we would make a serious effort to buy him regardless? I had a shred of hope we'd buy someone who'd excite me, and get me really looking forward to seeing them play for us in the next game.
  14. Fuck sake. Always getting hopeful of links to players like Jovetic and Correa, players that will improve us and that will get me excited for the next game, but the hope just gets crushed in front of our eyes in typical NUFC fashion.
  15. Had same thought. Jovetic/Joselu new Beardsley/Cole. We lost our first 2 in 1993/94 as well, including an opening day defeat to Spurs at home. We're finishing 3rd.
  16. You're not allowed to stand Oh yeah, I forgot you're a health and safety hazard if you stand in front of a plastic seat. Anyway, if someone intelligent could answer my question that would be great! Around about halfway in block V to the back of the Gallowgate the lads there are all standing up, if you can get a ticket about half way or further back then you should be alright in regards to standing. Decent atmosphere yesterday, there was a period in the second half where the Gallowgate were chanting the 'Toon, United Toon' thing which went on for like 5 minutes straight.
  17. Hopefully we get to see a couple of new signings in the squad for us in this.
