  1. That's not the letter of the law anymore as far as I'm aware. You’re right. Rule now guide that for a DOGSO penalty decision it is not a red card if there is a genuine attempt to play the ball (in the ref’s opinion). It was brought in to stop the idea of a triple punishment for teams in that situation. Penalty, red card, and most likely a goal conceded too. That's only straight red cards, no? This would have still been a yellow (his 2nd) But then there are further guidelines that refs are given where they’re told if they are going to give a second yellow they have to be 100% sure without even the tiniest of doubts that the foul is worthy of a yellow card. I take it Mike judged it as a careless foul and not worthy of a second yellow. He may also have taken the triple punishment thing into consideration. Or who knows maybe because he was instantly bombarded by Jeve players he didn’t have a second he think about it. Either way it would be harsh to give him black marks for not giving the yellow I feel.

  3. I would be on the ‘is a penalty’ side after seeing it ten times but still think it’s a little harsh. He is running to close him down and does put his hands on his back but it is more try and stop him crashing into him than out of malicious intent of pushing him to the ground. You could argue if you were running and about to go head straight into something stretching your arms out to try and lower the impact is a natural, automatic reaction. Attacker of course only needs to feel the wind touch him to go down to the ground. Just about the right decision by the ref I feel but a very difficult one. Given he’s only seen it once in real time he’s done good.
  4. How many lifelines have these cunts been handed by the other shit around them this season and each and every time they’re too shit to capitalize on it . It is hilarious.
  5. I personally didn’t like him as a pundit but he was certainly still streets ahead of the likes of Michale Owen. But that’s hardly important now. It’s dissapointing news to read and thoughts go out to the family. May he Rest In Peace. Life is so fragile. You can be here today and gone tomorrow just like that.
  6. Would bribe somebody to play this at half time in one of their home matches. Not that any fans would be there to hear it but it will at least rub it into the players (not that they even care).
  7. People still overestimating their ability and thinking they’ll get up to 7 points in the remaining games Will they fuck. They are a total shambles. It’s just a matter of when not if now. And it will come sooner rather than later. Personally I would have loved for them to get some sort of hope and go down in either the second last or last game of the season. Hope is what kills. But now they will be put out of their misery within the next 3 games or so.
  8. As the quote goes “Winners focus on winning, losers focus on winners”. There more likely won’t be one banner about their league one relegation at our next number of games. Maybe the odd sing song mocking them and that is about it. Where’s they had banners, party’s, masks galore. Fully focused on us. Value do better than us than having any kind of real success on the field. Total small time loser of a football club. Next year it will be where it belong and may it rot there forever more.
  9. Thought he was shite today tbh. His goal was handed to him on a plate and he is in the wrong job altogether if he can’t score from there after being setup to perfection. I remain of the belief that he’s not good enough for this league. Maybe I am being harsh, but just don’t think he shows enough quality enough of the time.
  10. Somebody didn’t have their glasses on and didn’t see the zero beside the one.
  11. 0 Have been all season. Never doubted it for a moment. Always stay positive me, it's the way I have learned to be supporting this great club. Always knew our home form would pick up eventually.
  12. Don’t get the belief that Wednesday will roll over charity style for them and gift them 3 points. They’re unbeaten in 3 and had two impressive wins recently in a derby game and against play off chasers. Now all a sudden they’ll just roll over and lose to one of the worst teams in the league? I am not convinced.
  13. They really have to hope they’re out of it come the second last game of the season because they play 2 of the 4 best teams in the league. Would love Mitro to get the goal that seals their fate.
  14. Excellent first few lines in there. Personally would have liked to see my favorite Sunderland stat thrown in there. Add in a line to that tune 'Shola Ameobi, has more European goals'.
  15. Top class, state of the art, trolling.
  16. Best fans in the world when their stadium is consistently more than half empty with nobody wanting to support them while they are down. Makes sense....
  17. Exactly, as Richie warned us in the press it is not over yet! A loss to Huddersfield and a couple of results going against us and we could start to sweat again. We should be fine from here but it is still not certain at all. Therefore I think the folk voting 0 are getting just a little ahead of themselves. I can see why they are confident, but there are no guarantees.
  18. I can’t believe they brought up Joey’s tweet and preaches Don’t get me wrong I respect Barton and he was a good player here, but not the best person to take advice or inspiration from for this sort of thing
  19. That feeling is what we’re used to supporting Newcastle. If I could pick one gif representing what it is like supporting Newcastle it’d be a gif of a man being constantly kicked in the nuts. height=350https://media.giphy.com/media/13MsN0d5e3I7S0/giphy.gif[/img] Perfect
  20. Would two wins and two draws be enough? Can anyone see Stoke and Solon getting 10 more points? And we’ll have a better GD (possibly)

  22. Fuck sake man. That is a huge win gone away from us. Gone from looking safe to still being on the edge all after one collapse. The stress of supporting this club.
  23. Fucking typical. Teams always roll over against our rivals but no doubt Leicester will be full guns blazing against us. Fuck off.
  24. The day they’re relegated I might actually visit that cesspit called RTG and leave a nice big long hahaha post. I will be banned after 12 seconds, but still worth it.
  25. Only point I was making of course is that they at least done something. Sunderland held on to Johnson for as long as possible and done nothing even when it was obvious he was guilty. Even after he is a proven criminal they still defend him to this day (the fans).
