Kroos came off too but he was confirmed injured. Barcelona may be in turmoil but with Real Madrid relying on Benzema and Ramos they may end up winning the league by default. They've technically got a better front line. Not think Atleti have a chance? They've got a really good team on paper but I worry how many years they can keep playing this hard working, defensive style before Simone burns the players out. They were very inconsistent last year. It's like back to the days of Pardew were you were just waiting for what excuse we'd get before and after the game. I hate all this pre match "we'll try to do something". Means nothing other than you don't have any tactics and you're just sending out the players to figure something out on the field. I really wish we'd look for a younger manager that maybe doesn't have a name but at least tries to implement a way of playing, at least then you could just go 'these players aren't good enough'.

His job would be a lot easier if we didn't have a midfield full of players who can't tackle, shoot, pass or move and offer options to the player on the ball.

It's weird seeing Hummels playing for Bayern. I'm jealous of Dortmunds play mind the movement between their midfield and forward line is a joy to watch.

Was he that bad today Wullie? I've seen sod all of today, just going off what I've seen so far and heard about today. Lives off a successful hollywood pass every once in a while, other than that does nothing but give the ball away and start fights with players of the oposition.

I was posting on here in 2013 that we have no movement or creativity in midfield. People would just stand and watch the person on the ball and I feel like I could just copy and paste it here. We barely looked like scoring against Fulham and judging by what I've read about todays game it was very similar again. Our defence is obviously a concern because we concede sloppy goals but if we never actually look like ever scoring from open play it adds extra pressure on our defence that they aren't ready to cope with right now. We need a drastic improvement in this area if we are to get promotion.

I'd honestly sell him if we could get someone in with the ability to cover more ground and a better short passing game who doesn't hide like the rest of our midfield. I always feel that he knows he doesn't have the ability to keep up with anyone running at him so takes the lazy option and just gives away cheap free kicks. Also he frustrated me when he came on against Fulham, seemed more interested in fighting with one of their players than getting a goal back.
