  1. The irony of the Guardian using Twitter to promote itself which Saudi Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal owns a decent chunk of. Wilson, who wrote the 2nd best book on Brian Clough I've read (Provided You Don't Kiss Me was better although Wilson's book is bloody good) with his "There is only one question Newcastle fans and football more generally needs to ask: how do you feel about torture and murder?" I reckon most of us aren't keen like but as above what are we supposed to do about it ? This is just the start people. There's going to be a paradigm shift in how Newcastle United (and therefore it's supporters) are both perceived and portrayed. Get used to being hated. Jealousy is a hell of a motivator. There's nothing to say you can't enjoy the takeover, Newcastle United under this new ownership and deplore the actions of one of the parties involved. When previous owners of the club have done terrible things Newcastle United fans weren't expected to be responsible so I don't see why they are now ?
  2. When they could neither afford or be arsed to put a roof on the toilets.
  3. If I'd just spent a significant sum of money to purchase a business, the last thing I'd want is a complete incompetent from the previous regime to be involved in running it for another moment, and certainly wouldn't want them to be representative of my company in public.
  4. I'll bow to your wisdom on him but as Kaka said always seemed a manager who built dynamic sides that played good football. Your description of him is exactly what I don't want mind.
  5. Time to dream again bonnie lads and lasses !!!
  6. Ben Jacobs is claiming talks between PIF and and the EPL have been ongoing : https://twitter.com/JacobsBen/status/1445794707523710977 :
  7. Owen's performances (or lack thereof) reflected directly on Shearer and his managerial career.
  8. Any sane club Bruce wouldn't be here. Any half sane club if they had made the mistake of employing him would make the change now as we head into the international break.
  9. Football at all levels, at it's essence, has set in stone decrees. If you know your teammate is shit at scoring he ain't getting the ball first time. There's something that happens whilst your playing you think "he'll waste this , I'll try x, y or z". Like playing football at school when the crap kids were made to play , kids would shout " don't give it to Phil, he's shit" or if you did summat fancy past a crap kid or were a bit physical with a weedy kid "not on that, its only phil". Joelinton is Phil .
  10. The type of managers Ashley tends to go for are just whores. No self respect whatsoever. (Obviously Keegan, Hughton and Rafa excluded)
  11. I've met Lee, he's a genuine lad and he does love Newcastle United. I've taken issue with him several times in the past regarding his coverage of the club and have personally told him he could have and should have done more in regards to bringing pressure on the club under Ashley. This is hardly him kneeling on Bruce's chest and Bruce cannot take it.
  12. Nope not at all. He's never faced the level of questioning that managers of higher profile clubs do. How would he cope with the level of media around Liverpool or Chelsea or Manchester United ?? He's had an easy ride, with the vast majority of pundits and journo's acting as staunch defenders and apologists. Bruce is one of the strangest managers I've ever heard in the game. It's rare you get people with this combination of arrogance and insecurity. He genuinely thinks he's above this. Thinks he's above analysis, above being questioned on any subject or with any depth (he rarely is questioned with depth). He seems to think he's above being at Newcastle United.
  13. He's being had off by Lee Ryder ffs . He can't even handle him man . He's totally lost the plot. What an insecure little whelp he is.
  14. It's a really smart signing . Can provide cover for Calvert Lewin whilst also being able to play alongside him should the match or situation require it. An unselfish grafting player, good at holding the ball up and allowing deeper teammates to get up the park and he wins a decent amount of free kicks. Probably help bring Calvert Lewin on a bit as well .
  15. Seems like battle lines are being drawn now. Club are putting the ball back in his court and are essentially saying "get on with it dickhead or resign". Will he back down and carry on brown nosing (look where it's got you Steve) ?
  16. It's all clickbait with Edwards. His journalism/content isn't good enough to generate the traffic required like other journalists so he's resorted to being the Katie Hopkins of North East correspondents. Starve him of oxygen and let him suffocate in the vacuum.
  17. Love Terry, his contribution to saving our football club and building it to be one of the most exciting clubs in Europe at one point was immense and never truly recognised by the wider footballing world . Been encouraging a few people I know to buy his book as a way of supporting him. (There's various retailers have it in Hardback and Paperback so if people don't want to use Amazon I understand.) Currently on Amazon it's only £1.99 on Kindle so a really reasonable way of supporting him should you wish to do so. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Terry-Mac-Living-Moment-Autobiography-ebook/dp/B06XHNMJQH/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=terry+mac&qid=1630228975&sr=8-1
  18. Aye, I know he's been poor for a while but he's playing like he's an ill kid who's been let out to play for one last time before he breathes his last .
  19. To be fair he did change it last week , did wonders for West ham .
