  1. Most recent example is Iwobi. Know a few Evertonians who think he's awful and can't wait to be shot of him .
  2. He's trying too hard and that's encouraging. Bravery comes in many forms and I think he's also a brave player. He doesn't hide, he shows for the ball, and wants the responsibility of getting us up the park and attacking . He's always looking to launch that attack, that run, that shot or ball to make a chance to try and get us winning or back in the game. I think he's an instinctive player and there's going to be times when he's on a hot streak and it's all just flowing beautifully for him and us. The challenge for him as a player and for the coaching staff is to make him still very effective when he's a little off his game or on a cooler streak. I've seen people criticize the performance in the Wolves game and I just don't get it . He consistently ran at players, made chances and was key in the move that led to the winning goal. If that's him playing poorly I've no problem with him whatsoever .
  3. Disgusting from Burnley that . Fuck them . Hope Dyche bounces back he's an excellent manager.
  4. It's a great point. he's very Bruce in his demeanour. There's that quote about why does he need to do his badges as he's played for England, cracking player but he's too arrogant to be a good manager.
  5. Hated listening to this oaf when he managed us so not about to start listening to him now he's West Brom .
  6. Does any player when the whistle goes to kick off think "hmm let me consider the expectations here " ? Surely it's just "i can get the ball , must win that tackle, he's gonna make a run , so and so is in space there, ouch that hurt , Christ he's big, GOAL !!, no don't give it to him he's shit, the fans are loud here" etc etc
  7. Tell him I fucking love him
  8. Wouldn't play to Rafa's specific instructions. It's why he was dropped initially. When briefly restored to the side he once again wouldn't play to instruction or how he'd been coached too. Rafa then had no trust in him . Bye bye Mbemba. Not unlike the Digne situation at Everton although far more histrionics from Digne. Apparently Mbemba conducted himself fairly well about it all.
  9. I'm a Newcastle United supporter that doesn't change if we're a Championship club. After what Ashley did to Keegan I couldn't bring myself to love what the club then became. Who wouldn't have taken relegation to get rid of him ? We've a club that wants to go forwards with a manager who in two weeks has already undone some of the dross of the Bruce era. Those players kept fighting, they didn't fold and they deserve our support. We've still a chance it's going to be difficult and against the odds but we've never done anything the easy way have we ?
  10. Completely switched off and let Henry have a free header
  11. let's hope he delivers some sweet chin music to brentford.
  12. Even the basic energy and positivity going forwards is so encouraging. We're woeful at the back and Brentford when they break forwards get to our area far too easily as they cut through our midfield.
  13. Ashley would have let him handle the vaccination injections.
  14. Like others am a little bit uneasy about the renaming. Something like St James' Park sponsored by ........ would be ok if it has to be done .
  15. Aye he'd score an all, and at 70 years old he's fitter than Shelvey
  16. I think the Smog version of WorFlags needs some investment like.
  17. https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/mike-ashley-newcastle-takeover-derby-25176535 Poor Derby , like they haven't had it rough enough in recent years. Isn't McClaren there still as some sort of advisor ?
  18. The irony of the Guardian using Twitter to promote itself which Saudi Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal owns a decent chunk of. Wilson, who wrote the 2nd best book on Brian Clough I've read (Provided You Don't Kiss Me was better although Wilson's book is bloody good) with his "There is only one question Newcastle fans and football more generally needs to ask: how do you feel about torture and murder?" I reckon most of us aren't keen like but as above what are we supposed to do about it ? This is just the start people. There's going to be a paradigm shift in how Newcastle United (and therefore it's supporters) are both perceived and portrayed. Get used to being hated. Jealousy is a hell of a motivator. There's nothing to say you can't enjoy the takeover, Newcastle United under this new ownership and deplore the actions of one of the parties involved. When previous owners of the club have done terrible things Newcastle United fans weren't expected to be responsible so I don't see why they are now ?
  19. When they could neither afford or be arsed to put a roof on the toilets.
