  1. Isn't it significant that not a single player under Ferguson has become a successful manager? Roy Keene? Bully Beckam? - no Scholes? no Giggs? Hardly Bruce? Don't make me laugh! Or am I missing somebody? Good or even great players do not make good or great managers....
  2. I'd rather go to watch NUFC play Oldham away on a wet Wednesday evening than be part of this 'corporate' shit.......
  3. I sense that it's much more than that..... 18 teams? Just let them go. In fact get rid of them now. Traitors.
  4. https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/12109174/european-premier-league-liverpool-and-manchester-united-in-talks-for-fifa-backed-tournament My hate for these grows every day.....
  5. I have always suspected that the 'top' (define this?) 4 or 6 have wanted to be part of a European league, so they could play the likes of Barcelona, Bayern, PSG etc every week rather than go to the dreadfully poor places like Watford, Norwich or even West Brom. This action just confirms this. How else can they propose the restructure then vote against it? Surely it's the first steps in forcing a divorce from the PL? You can be absolutely certain that the 'elite' clubs in Europe have all had clandestine talks and meetings about turning the Champions League into a full time league. It's beginning to head that way any way with the planned expanded tournament. They will negotiate their own TV rights, no relegation, no intruders. Then watch as crowds diminish until it's all corporate hospitality. God rot them all. The day will come when the American owners who do love a good Franchise operation, will realise it isn't working or profitable enough and they'll drop them like a stone, then watch them crumble from afar. The fact the the PL even let them discuss and overrule another clubs takeover (ours in the summer, but it could be anyone's at any time in the future) is disgusting enough and how the PL let them get away with it is testimony to the utter toothless and subservient behaviour of the PL and it's spineless chairman. As others have pointed out the 'top' 6 need their wings clipping big time. They are part of the PL and must abide by its rules or they can go fuck off and play with themselves. Time for the PL to grow some big balls. I'd rather we were in a real league with honest clubs and honest supporters rather than the manufactured future proposed. So Watford can win the league. Why not? Leicester did, and wasn't that a joy to watch? Stuff you big 6. Stuff you.
  6. I know that the PL have absolutely no balls at all, but if I was in charge, I'd say to the 'top six' (bastards all) 'ok, if this is what you want then as from next season you are all of you expelled from the PL. Go fuck yourselves or follow our rules. We will not be dictated to by a bunch of conniving Yanks and Money grabbing bastards.
  7. These are class! Is there one for every PL manager?
  8. It's a beautiful city. I live about two hours north of it and have just been given a reason to go watch the Girondins! Can't wait.
  9. Would somebody please tell me I'm not living in an alternative world..... The mighty NUFC have beaten Oxford, Rochdale, Morecambe and now Newport County? Fuck me, we've beaten some awesome teams here.......I bet the likes of Chelsea, Man City, Liverpool and even Man fecking United are scared shitless of us...... Bwucie has taken us to a totally different level.... How much lower can we go?
  10. Let me think.......Do I prefer the wisdom of Klopp - probably the best manager in the world right now, or a has been ex pro with a shocking managerial record (Both Keane and Bwucie) Durrr, it's a tough call.
  11. This idiot just spouts complete and utter crap - how does he get away with it?? Where are the real press boys and pundits that call him out for what he is - the worst manager in the Premier League in every aspect with every club. Hartlepool are too good for him.
  12. That's truly shocking. This should be shown on every sky channel by his so called super mates who says he's doing a great job. This just confirms that he's a fucking idiot of a dinosaur: https://www.themag.co.uk/2020/07/steve-bruce-says-just-unlucky-with-injuries-but-just-look-at-these-quotes-from-his-previous-clubs-newcastle-united/
  13. Isn't this just irrelevant? Whether we sign half of Real Madrid's first team or any PL player who can't get into the 1st team, with Bwucie as a manager (sic!) it simply doesn't matter. His coaching skills (skills?) will nullify any signing. As has already been proved. Waste of time and effort speculating.....
  14. "I think we're at a bigger disadvantage because of what our crowd brings us" #NUFC I'd say we're at an absolute disadvantage because of your complete ineptitude. Go fuck off. Now
  15. "Hope we're good enough". "That's always been my philosophy". That's not a fucking philosophy. It makes you despair, doesn't it? How on earth the press and Sky and all his alleged mates don't completely destroy him and his unbelievable non tactics is beyond belief.
  16. There are two massive issues surrounding Joelinton: 1. His massive transfer fee 2. His footballing ability. 1. I am pretty certain that we all think his transfer fee (even before he signed for us) was mega inflated. Rafa himself said 'no' and that he was not worth even £20m. It seems bizarre that Ashley, who notoriously spends as little as he can, would break the bank on a relatively unknown and unproven goal scorer. Did he honestly believe that Joelinton would come in, take the premiership by storm, score 25 goals and then go to Real Madrid for £80m? Not a chance in hell. I am firmly of the belief, as are many others, that this deal was crooked and that £40m did not change hands. But, of course, we can't prove it. 2. The people who defend him and say he should be given a chance are partly right. He did well enough in his last season in Germany, but with a vastly respected, innovative and intelligent coach, and a very good team set up. We have none of those things. Playing him week after week, in the same team formation, with the same tactics (tactics?) is just making the same mistake time after time in the hope that it will cure itself by accident. It doesn't work like that. I have seen nothing, not one iota, of ability, skill, strikers awareness, aggression and hunger for goals that any good striker needs. Just by being on the pitch gives him, mathematically, a chance to score 5 or so goals in a season. Joelinton hasn't even managed that. Solution: 1. Stick with him, change the manager, system and tactics. Ain't going to happen. 2. Send him back to Germany on loan to see if he can rekindle an ounce of his previous touch, and hope that we get an offer that minimises the loss to around £20m. With Bruce as our manager (weeps tears just typing it) I really don't see the point of persevering with him in the magical and groundless hope that he will suddenly turn into a striker.
  17. You know this from? No orders.
  18. Resurrected this as it's a while since the last comment. With the new signings (blow my socks off they do) what role does anyone see for Joel now? Sub? Sidekick to Wilson? Given away?
  19. Terrific result. Sick of everyone complaining. We're playing some great football and were really unlucky today against a very good Stoke City team. The omens are looking great for the season ahead - I'm sure we'll scare a lot of teams even better than Stoke. Bruce is just the man!!
  20. If our 'pre season' (words used very loosely) is anything to go by, coupled with our amazing transfer window (just look at the high quality players we're linked with or have signed) I'd suggest we're in for a barn storming season. Really can't wait for it to kick off! Not....
  21. I'm pretty much in agreement with this. There is no doubt that the PL & PIF/Stavely were getting very tied up in knots and the danger of public humiliation/BEin issue/continued scrutiny/bad press/Top 5 clubs involvement was all getting too much for everyone. So, the obvious solution was to withdraw the bid and declare publicly that it was dead. Then continue negotiations behind closed doors. So the issue of who heads the bid, who will run NUFC, KSA involvement etc could all be sorted out and agreed (or not) in private. Then, and only then, could a new bid and PL approval be announced. This is very logical but not necessarily true! We can only hope...........
  22. Mum had cancer Yeah I checked after I posted. I always felt that he should have played more games whilst he was here. Good all-round midfield player. Yeah, Bobby didn't use him anywhere near enough after his first season. Maybe there was a reason for that? Perhaps Bobby didn't rate him either?
  23. For all of you who are interested, I have been able to obtain a confidential list of all of our transfer targets................... It will be an amazing summer for us.
  24. Jees, this whole thread is pointless........ The names being mentioned are just horrendous......
  25. Exactly the opposite is true. He will be given loads of time.
