Many are quoting things like 'Why is it taking so long for the Premier League to give approval'..... So,.........have the PL ever admitted in person, that it has received a completed and accepted offer and is checking to see if it is compliant with Fit and Proper Persons??? Because if they haven't everything else is nothing but hope and speculation. HTT saying 5.00pm on Friday for example. 'Trust me I know'. 'This is going to happen' Is it?? Please, facts only in your replies!!!!

This is my first comment since the fakeover became a more than possible takeover. I've watched and read and said nothing because there have been so many crushing disappointments in the last 13 years, I have barely hoped to dream that one day Ashley might be gone from the club I have loved all my life. The prospect of him going and being replaced by owners who might actually give something to the club, its supporters, the city and the community fills me with that glorious word 'hope'. There is, inevitably, concern amongst many about the human rights record of our potential new owners and I share that. We live in a world where most countries - including the UK - put trade and money above all else. It's not a world I like but I have to live in it. To the title of this thread. 'Next Manager'. The debate should not about which potential manger espouses the best football, the most attacking team, has a global reputation to attract some of the best players - although I see the appeal in that and, if that is the case, then Allegri is supremely qualified. No, the debate should be about who is best suited to rebuild, from the very bottom up, every single element of our once great and proud club. Who knows what the Geordie nation need, who understands that paddling pools are not fit for purpose. That we need a completely new training ground, facilities, sports science and psychology development, That the youth system needs over-hauling so that we can bring on and develop our own, a professional scouting and recruitment team put in place to build for the future. Someone who, yes please, can bring in a few world stars but build a real team of quality players with natural succession and a real long term plan for the future. Someone who can communicate with our new owners as well as the supporters. Someone who can help rebuild or relocate (dare I say it) to give us a 'fit for purpose 21st century stadium that could hold 85,000 people. Someone who can inspire. Lead. For me there is only one man. If, if, if, if he ever sells us then the absolute last thing he will do is buy another football club!!! The only reason he might, repeat might, sell us is if his retail empire is on the verge of collapsing and he desperately needs £350m to support it. That is our only hope. With retail as it is, the economy on the verge of collapsing, property prices set to crash for several years, it might be a good reason to sell.

Disagree completely. Why should the other employees take the burden when the equity holder is a billionaire and makes all the decisions regarding the club? Why is football the only industry where we have this attitude? Footballers are employees and are pair so highly because they generate massive revenue. We don’t hear hedge fund managers being asked to pay for the clearers wages do we? The usually political points scoring from Khan and the Tories. And I disagree with you 100%. The club were in dire straights and couldn't afford Terry Mac's wages. KK wanted him as his assistant, so he paid Terry Macs wages out of his own pocket. That's the mark of a decent human being. Ashley is a cunt, and we all know that, he doesn't give a fuck about the feelings of anyone, so getting rid of all the non 1st team players is no big deal for him. Imagine being a player for NUFC today. You're earning more in a week than most other people in the club earn in a year. The tea lady, the person who cleans the kit, the guy who cuts the grass and the one who runs the shop. How could you ever look them in the face again if you did nothing?
