  1. Was looking on West Brom forum yesterday, and most of them think they he's a bag of shit. Decent in the air, and physical but doesn't score anywhere near enough goals personally. Seems bloody slow too.
  2. Still a punt up front from a center back, just goes to show even a blind squirrel finds an occasional nut
  3. Didn't realise they we're playing Eibar! Lots of love for Eibar
  4. Watching a bit of their game, and they look a shambles. Struggled to defend corners, and so rigid with the ball, just relying on the player with the ball to magic something out his arse. Even a failed Willo corner routine thrown in.
  5. Livemore's injured.. That XI is prime Pulis. Oh Pardiola
  6. Bellamy was on Sky last night saying it's the best thing to do. Said that when he got in bother with Robson, and Benitez they both started him following game. Claiming that he wanted to put in an extra shift because he felt he owed the manager and side a performance. Guarantee that if it was a fringe player they'd be out of the match day squad. Someone said in Pard's thread that it could just be these 4 have been names put up to take the public wrap for it, which I recon could be possibility - three most senior players, and a second keeper

  8. So you're saying that fouls in the build up should be ignored and Juve should have got the advantage? Where do you draw the line? How many passes and phases back are acceptable? Build up to a goal can start from a goal kick. Saying that at some stage you've got to accept that if the on field referee doesn't call it, it's just unlucky, and accept that a defending team should have defended better. Stopped the pass into the player, then stopped the cross etc. Was only called back because it was a goal, if it hit the post nobody is calling for play to be re-officiated.
  9. I fucking abhor the system to be honest, it's just an extra level of human officiating. There will be one seminal moment in a game where by they royally fuck up and confuse the players, and hopefully it'll be canned. Can respect that the FA want to use and trial it, rather than simply let Johnny Foreigner do it. They seem to egotistical to just allow others to trial it, and then work of their findings. Seems that they think they clearly know how to do it better. Watched a Juve game at the start of this season, they scored a header from a cross and the goal was eventually disallowed because of a foul was called a couple of passes earlier in the build up. Complete different phase of the game, and unfair advantage for the defending team, totally negating their sporting failure to defend resulting phases of play. Recon the Premier League are having none of it at the moment, seeing the state of ongoing mayhem happening in Seria A, Bundesliga, and Eredivise. La Liga are bringing it in next season. Biggest thing I hate about it is that it's used here and there; normally at the bigger grounds in games involving big teams. Either offer it out to a level field (all games in the competition - clearly impossible), only at Wembley for the Semi's, or simply not at all.
  10. So VAR was used last night at Chelsea, but not today; and been used and equally not used in previous rounds. Similarly in the League Cup. Surely this is questioning the integrity of the competition - offering up certain teams the use of VAR but no others dependant on stadium location. You've got to enter a competition and it's a fair level field for all, no matter external circumstances.
  11. SW defending deep and Swansea are just not creative enough, and too slow getting ball into space.
  12. Happy annual Not-playing-today- Day everyone!
  13. McLaren on Sky's Debate. Think I hate this cunt even more than Pardew.
  14. From Premier League website... UEFA Europa League (UEL) qualification In normal circumstances, three UEL places are given to English clubs who fulfil the following criteria: The fifth-placed team in the Premier League qualify for the group stage proper. The winners of the FA Cup qualify for the group stage proper. The EFL Cup winners qualify for the third qualifying round. Where these qualifications changes a) If the FA Cup winners finish in the top five of the Premier League, their UEL group stage place will go to the next-highest ranked team not qualified for UEFA competitions in the Premier League. b) If the EFL Cup winners finish in the top five of the Premier League (or top six if (a) happens), their UEL third qualifying round place will go to the next-highest ranked team not qualified for UEFA competitions in the Premier League.
  15. Recon you'd need a pair of hedge trimmers to cut Ampadu's hair. Surely got to be weighing the lad down.
  16. Yeah that's what I've been thinking since news came out. Surprised it hasn't been picked up on more from what I've heard/read about it all. Night out, and stealing a taxi, there's got to be alcohol involved for anyone to think that's a sensible decision. Clearly fucking idiots either way, surprised to hear that Barry and Evans are involved. They've been around far too long to be getting caught up in antics like this, and have always seemed decent enough pros. Wonders what a couple of months under Pardew will do to a man.
  17. Probably the most interesting thing that's happened in Jake Livermore's career. At least he'll have something to shove in a book when he retires. Other positive is hopefully this rules him out going to World Cup
  18. A huge part of me wanted those Swede's last night to beat Arsenal just so I could watch some half frozen cockney moan and bitch about the Wenger, Europa League and Alex Iwobi for the billionth time
  19. Can't see Pards getting another PL job after this car crash.
