  1. Who do you think that Ipswich player was in the story about throwing shit at him in the changing room? Senior player at Ipswich in 1996ish - likely a defender if he's been torn a new one by Dyer in training.. Tony Mowbray, Jason Cundy?
  2. Not too fond of him personally. Won't deny he was a good player for a couple of seasons. How he wanted out in the middle of a season when we could have really done with him focusing on Newcastle, his own performances and galvanising the group to sort their s*** out doesn't sit right for me. For me he was at the core of toxicity in the group that put together many truly gutless performances across a few seasons. Happen to think he was likely far too powerful within the squad at that time, without performances or any visable leadership on the pitch to back it up. Llmbias wanted rid of Barton/Nolan etc. and that left a huge void of leadership and senior pro mentality in the group, and don't think Colo ever did anything to fill that void. Wish we'd just got rid of him the second he wanted out to Argentina. Total cowardice s*** bag of a captain in the latter years in my opinion. Good when the going was good, but non-existent once it got tough. When Lascelles came out the other month and said that nobody would listen to McLaren, and the squad was a mess, you've got to wonder what the f*** Colo was doing at that point.
  3. Wouldn't can Mourinho for playing anti-football, and wouldn't say it was an embarrassing performance. Got no problem with any team going away from home and putting a clean sheet as priority - but that shouldn't mean you can't have a threat going forward. Fact was that yet another game has gone by where so called stars have just played within themselves again. Mourinho can't justify for Lukaku and Sanchez doing sod all, and Pogba again letting a game pass him by. Best player for Man United was probably McTominay. Mata was alright I thought, but he needs the others to get their heads out of each others arses.
  4. Got to fancy them to go through now, but don't see them worrying too many of the bigger sides after this round. Just don't seem to have anything going forward. Mad to think given the talent they've got. Even against the English sides wouldn't have them as favourites over two legs.
  5. Is Alexis Sanchez actually all that? Not seen him do anything of note so far he's been at Man U. Had decent game against us, but didn't actually score/assist anything.
  6. Probably more to do with his general personality, and the crap he spouts about the club. Find Kieron Dyer far more loathsome than Bellamy though. Can't stand Dyer one bit. Was still fairly young at the time, but do remember him being quite the shit bag towards the end. Played his part in that nasty period post Robson with Souness. Always came across as being a prick on and off the pitch when he was playing for other clubs too.
  7. Right at De Gea, would be a disaster if he didn't save it.
  8. Jesus christ Real Betis wouldn't finish in the bottom 6, let alone Sevilla.
  9. Can't stand Jake Humphries! Obnoxious prick. Always has been, ever since he was on my TV as a kid. Ruined CBBC for me Not too many pundits around stand out to be easy to listen too/watch, and generally offer something interesting to say. I don't find Jermaine Jenas too annoying. Liam Rosenior speaks quite a bit of sense when he's been on The Debate. As said Ferdinand, Lampard are decent enough, stick McManaman in there too from BT. Don't see enough of Roy Keane, always liked him. Chris Sutton used to boil my p*ss, not so much now. Robbie Savage has his moments, but generally repeats stuff that others have just said. Paul Ince, Michael Owen, Dion Dublin, Geoff Shreeves, Dennis Wise, Craig Bellamy are all fully fledged w*****s though. Can't remember his name, but was a Welsh coach previously at Stoke with Hughes on the Debate the other day - thought he was a stand out knobhead.
  10. Fair to say N'Zonzi's career has taken an upturn from the days of Allardyce, Kean and Pulis!
  11. Literally very funny that, world-class. Top-top video that!
  12. There we go, fixed that for everyone... This whole Pogba shit that's been going on for weeks is boring as fuck, been flogged to death now, especially the nonsense about what is best role is. End of the day he's nowhere near the player he's made out to be. A bit of a Adidas poster/show pony at the moment. Fee paid for him is only justified through the sponsorship that Man United can recoup with him being an Adidas player. Nowhere near a £90M player in a sporting sense. Talented player, but obviously can't follow a managers instructions on the field and is tactically a bit of idiot as a player. Talent is all well and good, but best players in the game combine both. Wouldn't even put him in my 10 best midfielders around atm.
  13. Adriano - looked a beast of a striker when he was at Parma, and a couple of years at Inter. Him and Drogba were surely the first of the complete forwards of the modern era.
  14. Seems an odd time for Real to be playing.. Guess it's a catch up fixture for their Club World Cup games
  15. Aye, first thing that popped into my head that!
  16. Was at the game as a kid when he scored a corner against Seaman Erik Nevland Aye!
  17. f***ing hell. It’s so transparent that it’s unreal.
