  1. Was at the game as a kid when he scored a corner against Seaman
  2. Name the player from his career... Crop their career wiki, and post.. Doesn't have to be Newcastle related, I'll start off with these three...
  3. Monday Night Football is the only pre/post match stuff I ever bother watching. Very rarely is anything interesting said on the game from BT in my mind. Occasionally Souness has something interesting to point out.
  4. 100 Brazilian caps, yeah total washout of a career that. Wasn't a total washout at Real, in an odd time for them, and was decent enough for AC Milan. Think there are plenty of players knocking around currently that are of equal, if not worse hype:substance ratio Careers taken a turn for worse of late, appealing a conviction of gang rape in Italy The hype was far bigger than what his career's been, I'm not saying he didn't achieve like. The hype was pre-Barca Neymar level before his transfer. Yeah can get that. He was fairly decent mind for Santos mind. Think he's just one of those players that sees football and his career in it for the earning potential it can have for himself and his family/having Kia Jorabchian as an agent. So never had the attitude to push his talent to the world class levels it could have achieved whilst he's still earning millions.
  5. Anyone else notice how Rudiger runs like Mike Williamson? Been thinking for a while he really looks like he shouldn't be good, but actually is alright.
  6. 100 Brazilian caps, yeah total washout of a career that. Wasn't a total failure at Real, in an odd time for them, and was decent enough for AC Milan. Thought he was good enough for Man City on the whole. That type of Brazilian in northern England is never going to go too well, but played his part in their journey. Think there are plenty of players knocking around currently that are of equal, if not worse hype:substance ratio Careers taken a turn for worse of late, appealing a conviction of gang rape in Italy
  7. Good teams are good, not so good teams aren't so good. Shock horror.
  8. Ryan Babel's dreams put on hold for another year
  9. Dawned on me during the first half that the only reason why Ashley won't give Rafa any money to spend is because of Champions League advertising. Rafa would obviously win us the league given if he was given a bit of coin to spend on, or bare minimum get 4th. That'd mean the Sports Direct signs would have to be ripped down for European nights, which obviously can't happen.
  10. Fancy Real over City and Bayern personally. In the big games they are a monster still, so many brilliant players. Three in a row would be totally mental though. Not getting behind the City love in for the CL. Standard seems to be much higher this year, especially with English sides being that bit stronger.
  11. What a weird comment to make. Aye, they are nowhere near the Guardiola team, but that was one of the best teams ever, of course that wasn't sustainable forever. They still lead La Liga by about a million points and have lost one competitive game all season IIRC. They're doing well in the league, but there's no way this team wins the CL. Be a different story if they can get Dembele and Coutinho properly integrated next season, maybe. They looked a right mess at the start of the season mind. Nobody really expected such a turn around after the Super Copa games against Real. Have defiantly become better as the season has gone on. Acceptable not to see them as favourites for CL, they certainly don't have that formidable nature to them any longer, but noway can you rule them out. As you can't Real.
  12. Chelsea just aren't the same side without Bakayoko playing Tiemoue would be running rings around that Messi lad
  13. Love watching Iniesta play, haven't noticed him give the ball away yet
  14. Messi and Alba have had a great connection all season. Watched them play Valencia, who seemed to close out most of their side, but Messi just kept playing in Alba constantly. Moses could been in for a painful evening.
  15. Watched that video of the delinquent Mackem posted on here and now Youtube keeps suggesting me Sunderland videos
  16. Good shout! Oviedo ended up suing him as well. Chris Coleman's spell at Soceidad was odd.. Alan Hutton's jolly at Mallorca couple of seasons back on loan
  17. Monterrey's stadium is a thing of beauty!
  18. "you ugly pricks, whaaay" Sounds disappointing he can't give them a victory bum to really hammer home the victory
  19. Been a few odd transfers to Mexico in recent years. Andre-Pierre Gignac at Tigres, Jeremy Ménez at America. Yeah, Enner Valencia and Keisuke Honda are playing out there as well. Landon Donovan has recently come out of retierment to play for somebody Mexican if I recall.. Would defiantly watch the league and follow if it was covered on TV like. I mean BT are showing Australian A League. By all accounts LigaMX is pretty decent standard.
  20. Listened to Joey Barton's podcast the other day and Sean Dyche was on about that... apparently they just went on TV next day and apologies to Cloughie. He was like an angry dad Going to go out on a limb here and suggest that Aguero wasn't off his rocker on Brandy this evening either

  22. There is going to be a sliding scale of acceptance on how such confrontation and risk of violence is dealt with though. Where exactly is this hypothetical 'work place'? An corporate setting or working in Tesco is going to be fairly different to working behind a bar in a grotty rough pub. Aguero stood on a football pitch, with 100s of football fans that don't like him - not saying all want to abuse him - is fairly unique.
  23. David James went and played for Bristol City after playing in the 2010 WC
