  1. I'd bet money Howe isn't happy with most of the game. I think we've gotta look at how we can do better against teams at home. Little bit flat with the ball. And could do with maybe getting Isak and ASM involved ealier. Teams seem to have a handle on our right side. And our attacking play is very asymmetrical. Perhaps it is time to look at Isak or ASM from the wide left position so that opponents can't focus solely on our right?
  2. What do you mean? We looked sluggish for a lot of the game and hadn't scored in ages before Isak arrived. No?
  3. Urgh, pointless arrogant and condescending. Shite post lv. Any strong reason for that? Feels like I've made a reasonable post and you've got a chippy.
  4. 4411/4231. He was in the space between midfield and Wilson, but also had licence to drift around.
  5. I (and have seen others say similar) reckon it was a little too cautious and predictable. Fancy a few players are fatiguing and opponents have a good plan to defend us. Subs were good as I said. Formation change worked really well. Just think we could've done more from the start and maybe we're wearing down our first choice players.

    Joelinton

He's got a good engine is all I'm saying
  7. Give us some retro gear like Arsenal and I'll weep with joy.

    Joelinton

Looked like he'd be fine in a 2 man midfield. Him and Longstaff charging about...
  9. Schar was magnificent. Didn't put a foot wrong in defence and his play with the ball was ridiculously progressive.
  10. A few questions rightly being asked about his starting 11 and tactics for the first time... this season? He did very well with the subs though. Isak in the hole worked really well. I didn't see that coming.
  11. He's going to be special. Proper "he can do it all" vibes. He knows how to poach, he can carry the ball for miles, he can drop in and link-up the play, he can run in behind. Woof!
  12. They had Mitrovic up front... They weren't going to get near us in normal play outside a cross. But then Schar and Botman were dominant in our area.
  13. Fulham were doing it for a good 10-15 minutes before conceding
  14. I thought Leeds did a much better job on us than Fulham.
  15. For anyone barging in with "it woz a pen, no question" - how do you counter the above?
  16. They conceded about 2xg worth of chances. That isn't a strong defensive performance. Us v Arsenal away was a strong defensive performance, limiting them to barely a sniff. If we aren't a little sluggish and wasteful, we're 1 or 2 up early and coasting.
  17. They felt really vulnerable at the back and blunt up top, to me. We were just really timid.
  18. The Fulham player went studs up onto Trippier and then fell over the secondary contact from Trippier. That's the first foul, where the contact that ultimately led to the penalty was initiated. You can't foul a player initially, then claim a penalty cos after the foul you're taken out...
  19. Yeah, Pereira threw himself down unrealistically. Ref and VAR aren't going to flinch.
  20. 1) It 100% wasn't a pen 2) we were below par, sluggish and predictable 3) Isak is a boss 4) We need to get Isak and ASM playing more 5) Isak is a boss
