  1. It was 100% the best thing about the World Cup. Rules actually were enforced. but mostly the stoppage time rule was just completely ignored. Don't remember which game, but there was a game when there should have been about 8 minutes of stoppage time in the last 10 minutes alone, and barely none was given. That isn't VAR's fault, it's the referee's Teams deliberatley make subs in or just before stoppage time if they are winning as they know the refs never add all the time on. Refs not having a backbone isn't VAR's fault.

    England

Wish International weekends would fuck off, so boring.
  3. Thing with Shearer was that he was so much more than just a goalscorer, he didn't just stand in the box waiting for a tap in, he was a class all round footballer, his first touch and passing brilliant, crossing, whatever. I get the impression that some people who never watched full games of him week in week out, think he was JUST a goalscorer, so wrong.
  4. His clinicilness in this vid (and the other 3 parts) About 3:00 mins in till he is back from injury, first goal v us, c***.
  5. A player like Xavi, because the main part of his game was control pass, control pass, it is not what alot of people watching are looking out for, it is almost boring for some people, they would rather watch someone dribbling past everyone etc, that is more flashy and eye catching They watch Xavi and think that anyone can do what he is doing, as if constantly controlling and passing the ball, never giving it away is somehow easy, anyone who has played the game at any level knows that it is definatley not! I suppose everyone likes watching different styles of play. When i played, i was a passer, which is probably why i sympathise more with those type of players. Don't get me wrong, i love watching Messi and Ronaldo, but not as much as a great passer like Xavi, Scholes, Pirlo. I am sad that those 3 are finished tbh.
  6. 77 goals in 92 games for Brazil Winner in the quarters, hat trick in the semi's and 2 goals in the final of the 58 world cup when he was 17, proper overhyped.

  10. First touch and passing he couldn't do as quickly as Xavi imo, nor totally controlling a match, Xavi was everywhere the ball was, keeping to team ticking and dominating at all times. Iniesta played in moments.
  11. Xavi was that good that he made it look too easy, not an eye catching player like Iniesta, doesn't mean he is worse. Both were great of course.
  12. Xavi was more important, made the team tick. His first touch and short passing is probably the best i've ever seen. Best Spanish player ever i reckon.
  13. Just remember going mental in front room then thinking shit, we still need Juve to hang on.
