No matter how much money we got, we'd have to comply to FFP (in the beginning, at least) as well as compete with the likes of Man City, Chelsea, PSG, Man United, Liverpool, Barcelona, Real Madrid and Juventus for every single player we would want to sign. As much as I hate TCP (That c*** Pardew), we had Cabaye, Ba, Cisse, Tiote, Krul, Colo etc (again, nothing to do with Pardew). The football was much better, if down to the players, not the manager. I always say we finished 5th in spite of Pardew.

Dubravka, Scharr and Fernandez are the only reasonable players we have.  Dummett and Rondon can do a job.  Muto hasn't really had a chance to show what he can do.  The rest can fuck right off.  Dog and Duck standard.

Var, for me, will help but there is something rotten in the fa for the last few years that will continue.  At least with var human error is less of an excuse.  The decision made need to be captured and analysed.  If the bias still exists it should be easier to highlight.

Exactly.  More transparency is what we need.  I like the Rugby system where the Refs are mic'ed up and the TV audience van hear exactly what is said.  I also think that the clubs should be able to send observers to the disciplinary proceedings.

This latest farce is beyond parody.  Literally nothing the FA could do could surprise me any more.  They might as well give out a 'big club bonus' of 30 points at the start of the season, just to make sure the 'right' clubs qualify for Europe.

I agree that the FA are ridiculously and blatantly corrupt, but it doesn't mean we shouldn't use VAR. Things have to change, and more transparency with decisions is one of those things.
