8-1 v West Ham was it 85 ish? Arsenal we conceded 7 much more recently

The truth is always somewhere in the middle. There is no doubt the Eales-Mitchell situation was shambolic. However, which group was actually heading up transfers? How involved was Howe and nephew.... a lot, a bit or not at all? In any event the fallout for the general mismanagement ultimately has to lie with the owners who should never have allowed this situation to happen.

We need a striker next year. I would almost pay the bulk of the kitty on one world class striker
-
The actual answer is to define a style if play that would consistently achieve results based on the structure of the competitions. Given that is mostly the PL and the CL I would say a possession based system where you are expending the lowest amount of energy is the style we should be going for and that should be directed by the DOF and signings made to realize that, no matter the coach.
-
Absolute crime to play him there. Why not use one of the young lads....who are actually midfielders?
-
In name only.
-
But Minhosa, we won the Carabao cup man! I'm with you, he is shite and we should cut our losses. This summer is massive and I would rather we look at some prospects from Europe than the crap we bought last year and no panic buys at the last minute either.
-
I'm not sure if our owners could run a bath. I think Howe has kept the thing from being a complete disaster this season, even if the team selection today was bizarre. A reserve player in MF would be better than Wolte there. The Eales and DOF situation was amateurish at best.

Should have tried out for the 100m. Shocked he made it as a footballer. Sell.
-
May as well have gone the Sunderland route last year. We spunked all of the Isak money and more only to become much worse.
-
Why is he not playing Woltemade further forward. He is not going to be the next J7 as he is too slight. Play him as a proper 10 or a 9 or not at all
-
Yup. They don't seem to be able to make a decision. The whole Staveley -Eales- Mitchell trajectory was shambolic.
-
How about we don't attack and leave no one in defence in this one eh lads. Patience and solid defending please.
-
Well to finish top 7 we would need a striker above all else
-
No idea why we bought Nick when we largely play a completely different way, and a way that I am not sure is sustainable in seasons where we have qualified for the CL.
-
Big summer coming up. We need a keeper, a CF, another CH, a better RW and I think a holding midfielder (one who likes possession). IMO there are several that need to go including Elanga and Wissa -- horrible buys.
-
How can this be when you won't know what your income for the season will be until the season has finished?
-
If he is going to play a traditional number 9 he will not have to drop deep and our wingers would have to cross the ball. Murphy is the only one that does this so Barnes and Gordon don't work with Woltemade
-
4-2-3-1 behind a mobile striker. Or 4-4-1-1 same.
-
I think we will have to buy another striker in the summer. Goodness knows who.
-
Maybe, could be, might be thinking about a feasibility study as to what "could" be done. 😁

Ok let the shithousery commence!!

All massively. Well you have a low threshold as to what is defined as massively. The first team has gone from 15-20 range to 5-10 range. That is hampered by PSR no doubt. However the stadium and training ground & academy is not hindered by PSR and has seen the least movement. If we want to get around PSR the two main areas to either save revenue or increase revenue are the stadium and academy and in fact the ONE area that does both is the academy. That is because every Lewis Miley both saves spend and can later increase revenue. So we have a new academy stocked with prospects in the works???
-
You know as well as I do the changes have been small scale. It not like we have moved to a Leicester or Man City type of training facility. The concept of a plan has been in the pipeline for 3+ years. Where is the output of the study that was supposed to be published 1-2 years ago.

So they took the sign down. Other than that it's barely changed.
