  1. Stat nerd here: I'd be interested to see a league wide stat of what percent of goals is scored in each portion of a match. Fake edit: Found it for this season https://www.soccerstats.com/timing.asp?league=england Goals by 15-min. segment Min.Goals% goals 0-15 104 15.1% 16-30 97 14.0% 31-45 115 16.6% 46-60 125 18.1% 61-75 96 13.9% 76-90 154 22.3%
  2. Just got to watch this, hopefully the away form has turned a corner. Great win!
  3. Thought he wanted Real Madrid.
  4. I agree that's how I'd like it to be. I think you are missing some punctuation there. If you are saying UK law takes precedence, well then I'd agree with you in the hope that AFT is thrown out.
  5. Well as far as FSG goes I do know because I pay attention as a Red Sox fan. And from what I can tell FSG is saving up money to buy a new NBA franchise in Las Vegas once LeBron retires (that's why they brought him in). Sure it should be scrutinized, but it is pretty clear what they invest in. It is very different than say ARAMCO sponsoring NUFC when it is run by the PIF.
  6. It's pretty obvious why those are two different things, aside from any shady Chelsea stuff. They aren't deals from affiliated companies.
  7. I get it, as a Packers fan I still hate Denver and John Elway for that Super Bowl.
  8. I guess knicks fans... but do you hate Jordan more than the Celtics? EDIT: Knicks fans probably hate everybody.
  9. I don't think anyone really hates the Bulls. The Celtics and Lakers have won way more, and the Spurs and Golden State have been much more recent dynasties.
  10. Two of my friends, one an athletic trainer for a small local college sports department, and the other a US Paralympic weight lifter, have mentioned to me that there's been a lot of rethinking lately about icing injuries. Maybe the staff is a bit behind the curve? Obviously I have no clue how they treat injuries, but could be a possibility. EDIT: Also not suggesting anything specific relating to Botman here, just seemed like a good thread to put it in. Some evidence: https://www.nytimes.com/2021/04/21/well/move/exercise-icing-sore-muscles.html
  11. I keep thinking back to Cuban selling the controlling share of the Mavs and his reasoning. https://apnews.com/article/dallas-mavericks-sale-mark-cuban-adelson-f2dff76f286d79a4be0708f7a929b5ce “The advantage is what can you build and where and you need to have somebody who’s really, really good at that,” Cuban said before the Mavs’ game against Cleveland on Wednesday night. “Patrick and Miriam, they’re the best in the world at what they do. Literally, around the world. “When you get a world-class partner who can come in and grow your revenue base and you’re not dependent on things that you were in the past, that’s a huge win,” Cuban said. I wonder if the club knows anyone with experience in real-estate development. An NFL example https://www.titletown.com/#:~:text=Welcome to Titletown, relax - no matter the season.
  12. A few years ago FSG let Lebron buy an equity stake with an eye towards winning the future NBA franchise that will probably be in Las Vega. A month or so ago they brought Theo Epstein back in with an equity stake to play some undefined role possibly assisting with baseball ops. They didn't need Lebron or Theo's money, they wanted their name or expertise. My guess is that this could be the same with Edwards.
  13. Start him at rw (pretty sure he's played there before) or rcm - willock bruno tino
