  1. Should go a long way for Ashley to buy a shite bicycle shop.
  2. Liverpool just for the reactions.
  3. Wolves playing their strongest team.
  4. He must be having his meeting with Ashley early this week with Ashley at the match today.
  5. Will be coming on as a sub instead of Muto that's all I know.

True, but if they have new owners coming in that can change. I'm just saying its easy to compete in the Championship without having to just spend loads of money.
  7. I meant how they are ran as clubs and the circumstances that got them relegated. Circled the drain for years in the Bundesliga before being relegated like Sunderland in the Premier League. They haven't fallen as far as Sunderland, but struggling to get out of Bundesliga 2 and they are in a mess similar to Sunderland.

They’ll do well to do what Blackburn achieved last season which was just lower mid-table. They’ll need to find an 18-20 goal a season striker like Graham and a playmaker like Bradley Dack before they even begin. That’d cost them a lot of money. Blackburn only paid around £2 million for both of them which is not a lot of money for Sunderland. They could easily find those players with decent scouting or loans from Premier League clubs.

They will probably have to find a better manager than Ross.
  10. Hamburg as well who are probably the German version of Sunderland.

Teams don't need a lot of investment to get out of the Championship. You just have to look at Norwich and Sheffield United who have put a squad together full of bargain buys, loans, free transfers and academy players. Sunderland could do the same its just a question if they have people behind the scenes clever enough to buy smartly. Norwich have been supported by a great academy producing lots of talent, some sold on, some still with the club. Sunderland don't have anything like that. The one player that could have been they sold. Sheff Utd are an exception rather than the rule. Great management have sprung them up, again something they don't have. Sunderland don't have any Championship quality players. They'll have to bring in 15 players just to survive, and with no money to spend that's going to be hugely difficult. I didn't say they have any of the things Norwich and Sheffield United have that got them promoted just that spending big is not only way to get out of the Championship. However, with proper long term planning they could. I don't believe they need 15 players either just to survive that would probably harm them more than help them trying to gel that amount of players together. They can still put a decent squad together with bargain buys, loans from Premier League clubs and free transfers.
  12. Apparently this guy has a terrible record with transfers at the clubs he has been at. https://twitter.com/LCFC/status/1127151469449371651

  14. Monaco only outside the relegation zone on goal difference. I thought they were comfortably midtable since Jardim came back as manager.
  15. I could see it being one of those crazy last day of the season matches we usually see.
  16. I said it before, but a 1 year contract extension for Benitez is pointless. It doesn't remove any uncertainty and the club will have the same attitude as last summer in that they won't give Benitez money unless he commits long term or that's what they say. Its either Benitez leaves or signs a new 3 year contract because I think most people are fed up with the Benitez contract situation being an issue every week.
  17. According to Ryder, Gayle wants to play in the premier league next year... but he must surely know that Rafa isn't going to make him first choice. It's a right cluster f***. Would it not be better then if West Brom get promoted? We value Gayle at £20 million and they value Rondon at the same price, both want to play in the Premier League and so it would probably make to do a swap deal.
  18. I think if we looking at who will be shite enough to keep us in the Premier League next season then even with Benitez in charge its going to be another horrible season.
  19. It doesn't mean it will happen, but according to the Chronicle a group of investors are at the data room stage. Another transfer window of this shite, but I guess it makes more sense for a takeover to happen during the summer rather than in the middle of the season. https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/newcastle-united-takeover-mike-ashley-16241765
  20. I think Gayle will join Fulham this summer, West Brom can't afford his wages it seems if they don't get promoted.
  21. I think it has to happen to be honest. The gap between rich and poor clubs is getting bigger and bigger. I wish it didn't have to be this way, but its the only way we will return to competitive football. The worst part though as the St Etienne owner said its difficult to sell the club to people with more money to take the club forward so we will likely be stuck with Ashley forever.
  22. Disgusting that clubs like Man City and PSG see themselves to be more entitled to be in the Champions League than the likes of Ajax or Valencia. We are going to see football at the highest level turn into the NFL and it wouldn't surprise me if we see the likes of Man United and Liverpool relocate their clubs to London in order to make their clubs more attractive for players to join them. Every other club should embrace this opportunity to make football competitive again. It may not be the highest quality of football, but it would be nice to believe your team might have a chance to win a league title.
