I'm surprised there hasn't been a bigger pr war between Ashley and Benitez. The only information we have got regarding Benitez's contract situation is from Benitez himself during his press conferences.

This is why I hate the away goals rule instead of Valencia needing just 2 goals to even the match they need 3 goals to go through.

Its depressing, however I probably want Spurs to win the Champions League final just because its good for football to have a first time winner, but it feels wrong they are in a Champions League final. Can't agree with this at all like. They're doing it the right way building from within and probably deserve it more than most. I agree there is lots to admire about Spurs and they have done things the right way, but it just feels weird to see them in a Champions League final.

It's depressing because in most people's recent memory Spurs couldn't even finish above us. The trajectory of both clubs is vile. We were way ahead of Spurs before Ashley came along, but because Spurs are ran for sporting success and we are ran for Sports Direct success we have been relegated twice and Spurs are close to winning the Champions League. Its depressing to think where we could have been without Ashley.

Teams like Ajax told they have nothing to lose like in big matches like tonight when they probably have more to lose because they don't have the money like Liverpool and Spurs have to consistently be able to keep a squad together that can consistently challenge for the Champions League.

Man United and Arsenal also have problems so its a great chance for the likes of Everton, Leicester and Wolves to break into the top 6 next season.
