This is why I'm disappointed Diame didn't get a contract extension. He shouldn't be starting matches anymore, but hes decent back up and now with 3 centre midfielders likely to leave we lack quality and quantity in centre midfield. Its the same with strikers with Rondon, Gayle and Joselu likely to leave and we will have to buy at least 2 strikers in the summer. Bringing in so many players in one summer is not a good idea, but we might be forced to just to build up the squad. This is what happens when you undermine your manager in the transfer market and rely too much on loans.

Considering he wanted to leave last summer he is probably worried the club will price him out of a move.

To be honest I wish journalists would stop asking about his future after every match. He talked about his future in his press conference yesterday there is no need to harass him for the same answer nothing is going to change in just a day.

I know Liverpool shouldn't have got that free kick in the end, but we really need to work on defending set pieces. I think we have conceded nearly 20 goals from headed goals this season with only Huddersfield conceding more.

I love these late evening Saturday matches in the Premier League. They should replace Monday night football.

I know there is a lap of honour for the last home match, but it will be interesting if Benitez's body language is a final goodbye or its just another match for him.

Maybe people are jumping the gun saying his comments mean he will stay, but I don't know how anyone can read his comments and see it as a negative.

I would like to know what things they have agreed on so far and what else needs to be agreed for Benitez to sign a new contract.

Clearly not, the game has completely changed since he came on I'm not basing my opinion on 10 minutes. Base it over the full season where he's been one of Spurs' best players then Goals and assists? Regularly watching their matches and using your eyes? Listening to the opinions of Spurs fans? We regularly got p*ssed off with people telling us who Pardew was then go right ahead and do the same thing. No one ever learns anything. Wijnaldum is another player who has not scored or had many assists this season, but has been highly praised by Liverpool fans this season.
