  1. wages for him should be no more than 120-130k. If he proves his worth in the PL then can negotiate for bigger wages
  2. Tbf i am not that impressed from the highlights i have seen. Seems a massive gamble if we pay 60+ million for him.
  3. Tuned out early part of the 2nd half, did it look serious?
  4. Miley looks quite good. Tidy in possession as usual. Hope he will have a proper breakout season
  5. man he looks so finished. Like zero acceleration and not much physicality

Tbf, Downie’s tweet said “coming to a conclusion”. I interpreted that as getting a clear answer from Brentford. Could be a yes, or a no

Hopefully we get this done. It read “moving to a conclusion”, hopefully that conclusion would be deal agreed

On the bright side, he scored the same amount of non-penalty goals (19) as Isak last season. I think 40m is a no brainer. Probably need DCL too if Isak does leave
  9. Let's sign Chalobah, Harvey Elliott and DCL and call it a window.

We really need bodies in. If he wants to come and Brentford happy with 45m, let's get him in. There won't be many better options out there. He is quite clinical, very versatile and at 28 he can easily have 4-5 good years left in him.
  11. very good life choice indeed 👍

The tweet was from a reliable source so whoever started this thread seems justified to do so. That’s the point.
  13. I highly doubt we are moving away from 433. There will be times when we play 2 up front but 433 has been our blueprint for success. Joelinton's impact cannot be overstated. And based on our transfer activities or rumours it doesn't seem like we are actively looking for a number 10 player.
  14. According to ChatGPT: Eligibility for 25-26 Champions League List B: - The player must be born on or after 1 January 2004. - From their 15th birthday, they need to have been eligible to play for the club for at least two uninterrupted years (or three consecutive years with a single ≤ 12‑month loan within the same association) So Osula needs to be registered (List A) while Hall doesn't (List B) as he was born in 2004 and been here for 2 years
  15. No way he will join unless Isak leaves
  16. He probably will play more minutes if he joins Liverpool? Against good sides we probably often need to play 3 in midfield. Liverpool dont even have a proper 9
  17. If Isak does want to leave and say Liverpool offer 150m or close to that, it seems sensible to cash in on him at peak value this summer. We have tried to tie him down with a new contract for months but there seems to be little progress. I know he is world class, but he is relatively injury prone and the incoming funds will significantly help round out the squad and give us lots of PSR headroom in the next few windows. If he does leave, hopefully it will be our Coutinho moment.
  18. I think we will mostly stick with the 433 but with Ekitike we can easily switch to a front 2 with rotation options in Gordon, Elanga, Barnes and Osula. 3 of those 4 are wingers but they have attributes such as pace or good finishing to succeed centrally.
  19. only realistic if we sell Longstaff and a purple, maybe Gordon. That lot would cost around 230-240m give or take. Lets say Gordon sold for 75m and Longstaff about 15m that would bring the net spend to around 150m which is realistic based on reports of our transfer kitty.
