  1. Apologies if already posted, didn't want to put this in the Greenwood thread but saw the below tweet celebrating the sacking of that guy and our fans orchestration of that and made me really uncomfortable.
  2. I think people are being overly harsh here. I don't think there's an obvious weakness we haven't addressed and that's surely all we can measure this window by. Hoping to get better in areas we're already prem standard in would be a bonus but not a requirement. We're actually a really well balanced side now with a CM 3 of Willock, Bruno and Joelinton looking like they could be an absolute handful for anyone. Our defence looks 10 fold better and our forward line is good.
  3. Solid 8/10. Massively disappointed we don't look like adding to our attacking options but our remit was to make our squad at least the 17th best which I think we've done. The rest is on Howe now.
  4. Really surprised we don't appear to be going for loans at least
  5. Where's he gone to? Edit: ffs
  6. Cabral for the mysterious European striker?
  7. GK's can transform a defence tbf, we've seen that ourselves. Improving in Dubs (who looks short of confidence at the moment) would be a good move imo
  8. Quite excited for what loans we might bring in. You'd think fringe players from top top clubs who are less cunty to deal with would a no brainer for everyone, especially with the WC coming up.
  9. What we gonna do if ASM gets injured like?
  10. Carrasco wouldn't give a shit about getting relegated
  11. Hope this is the signing that gives other players confidence to sign now. Pretty huge statement of intent.
  12. Aye, I dont think £15m is a lot for a prem proven defender playing in one of the better defences in the league. Clearly rated by the fans who actually watch him play every week. Not sure whats not to like.
  13. I think they'll be fully on board this move as I imagine he'll be the intermediary between PIF and the club that will speed up the decision making process for AS et al.
  14. Nearly 5 months later and it's still all too surreal for me. I hope I never get used to this.
  15. Even if Alli couldn't bring the goals with him, his quality on the ball would still be invaluable to us. Loan with option to buy could be a good deal for us.
  16. I think he was closer to Ginola than he was Messi.
  17. If this boy had better decision making skills he wouldn't be playing for us. Imagine an equally dangerous winger on the other side though....
  18. Really pleased for him. Said it in another thread but he's done brilliantly to galvanise the squad under these circumstances.
  19. Really good win today with some excellent individual performances, hope we can build some momentum from that. Think the most pleasing thing to see was the team spirit, everyone was really fighting for that win. Said it for a while now but we do desperately need some attacking players in.
  20. No idea what to do within 30 yards of their goal, otherwise not doing too badly.
  21. Perhaps, and we're likely never to know but I do think we offer a completely different proposition to Everton as we're one of the few clubs in the world without a glass ceiling. And as for structure,we'll don't have it yet, but it's clearly something we're looking to address. Our public pursuit of Dan Ashworth helps that's narrative. Final point is he's clearly prepared to go down as he's essentially I that position every season (or should be) with Brighton.
  22. I think Potter could be tempted. I honestly think we missed a trick not pursuing him. In hindsight of course.
  23. If Howe was allowed to take us down, I think I'd be massively disappointed.

    Jesse Lingard

Why would the loaning side ever entertain this? Seems like they only lose from this.
