As much as they want. It's Saudi Arabia ffs. Football is corrupt to the core. If these blokes want to come and start throwing the money around the footballing bodies won't stop them. Perhaps a few bribes, dressed publically as fines, and a few more bribes under the table, but that's it. Man City? They obviously just didn't keep the right people sweet or haven't fiddled the books properly.

Max is usually gassed after an hour, so bringing him on for the last half hour doesn't seem like the worst idea in the world to me. Especially if you've got a team who can play competently by themselves without him.

Maybe not, but he's quite capable of living for another 40 years, and that'll be long enough that most of our lives watching football will be under his guise and we'll be old and wrinkly f***ers at best before he f***s off this planet. Yeah, I get that given his lifestyle we should expect he'll not make another 40 years, but you just know for a fine fact he's going to Kieth Richards it. Mike likes his dinners but he'll be eating the best stuff - no tinned s***. He'll also get two massages a day, one from Charnley and one from a girl out of the Epstein catalogue. Although, he can probably only manage a big finish with one of them. Verdict: He'll live to see 120.

Actually in total agreement with him generally about the 16.59 culture* in this country, boils my p*ss, but the way to go about changing it isn't to humiliate people, shout at them and expect them to magically become great at their jobs. Who knows maybe he did loads of 1 on 1 coaching but I f***ing doubt it. *Mind you goes both ways, you can't clock watch people and have that culture then complain if they pay you back. We need to move to more task oriented working practices where possible imo. Team individuality is the best approach for getting the most out of your staff.

Step 3 I'll repeat, I can only hope that Bruce is treated as awfully as possible, such as finding out watching SSN with Rafa being unveiled as manager. f***ing prick. I can hear his camp little whimper now. One last interview with sky sports before he fades into second tier irrelevance.

It'll be July. July at the very earliest When the pubs and restaurants reopen there will probably be a second spike of infections which would push this date further back I still think when it comes back it will be behind closed door, and rightly so. Outside of football, I don’t think the pubs or places where you gather should be open until later in the year when we know more. Shops and possibly cafés/restaurants possible. Pubs, and other places of gathering, no. There'll be increasing pressure to reopen the likes of pubs because a lot of them will be reaching the point of going out of business after a while. I already expect quite a few pubs where I live to never reopen as they were struggling before this anyway. We are going to see a massive change in the way we socialise in future. I think there will be a significant reduction in pubs. That was going to happen naturally anyway, but the lockdown and it’s long term affects will bring that forward. Highly unlikely. Boris will give us the nod next March and then everyone will go mental, piling into bars and licking each others faces on the metro.

Why are we writing everything off after just a few days? If what Caulkin has written is accurate, then it would take a good few weeks for any worthwhile update anyway. I understand people are pessimistic but nothing in the recent reports suggetsed that this would be done in days.

Clearly a crazy opinion of you're old enough to remember the first spell, but I'm not so I get what you mean. Loads of optimism at that time. Haha I was there for the first first spell too, but I just loved the hope that his second spell brought. It was happening again and we had a billionaire owner who wore a Newcastle shirt. And things on the pitch were changing dead fast. I was strapped in for the ride.

Keegan's 2nd spell as manager was my favourite as an NUFC fan. We had a new billionaire owner and Kev was as optimistic as ever. It took a few games for us to get out of the Allarswamp but once we did it was brilliant. I could hardly believe how fast he was able to turn Fat Sam's anti-football turd into something beautiful. It was the most hope I've ever felt.

How do these people get so far in life? How do you get be a football chairman or whatever with such a startling lack of everything that is needed to succeed in such a role?
-
Really? Seems highly unlikely. What did they say?

Is this confirmed though? George didn't confirm it in his article. Also, what does the proper person test involve? "Have you been crucifying atheists?" "Have I been crucifying (voice peters out).................What?" podcast provided such context that was submitted by both sides. If George Caulkin has stated that the papers have been sent then I'm optimistic.

Kev wasn't up to date with tactics or any of that jazz in 1992. He's a motivator. He'd come in and make Joelinton think he's Pele. Sir Bob and that the purple faced Scotsman were the same, which is why they were still doing it into their 70s. It's all done with a Werther's Original and a pat on the back.
